Intercare Health Center hosted an informative workshop today at Al Musrif KG–Charter School on ADHD: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, presented by Ruba, Speech Therapist, and Shahma, Occupational Therapist. The session brought together parents, teachers, and therapists to explore important facts, address common myths, and share practical strategies for supporting children with ADHD.

A special thank you to Al Musrif KG–Charter School for their warm welcome and support in making this workshop successful. The event aimed to enhance understanding, promote early recognition, and equip attendees with effective tools to foster successful learning, communication, and daily functioning.

Amy is a DOH and HCPC licensed Speech and Language Therapist. She graduated from University College London in 2020 with a distinction in Speech Therapy, and has completed highly specialist training in eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

For the past 5 years, Amy has worked across a variety of settings within the UK, specialising in acute intensive care and rehabilitation of both communication and swallowing difficulties. She has a range of experience supporting people with neurological conditions, brain injuries, stroke and learning disabilities, who present with dysphagia, language difficulties, dyslexia, fluency disorders, speech difficulties, voice impairments and cognitive communication difficulties. From graduating high school in Chicago at just 15 years old to becoming the youngest student admitted to medical school at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Dr. Omar Saleh’s journey into psychiatry has always been defined by passion and purpose.
