Cancer is a major health challenge globally but to identify critical gaps in oncology, biobanking can play a vital role by creating a powerful platform for scientific exchange and meaningfully accelerate industry collaborations in shaping the future of oncology research.

Abu Dhabi Biobank participated at the 6th International Lymphoma Radiation Oncology Group (ILROG) Continuing Education Conference, hosted by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, to provide a unique high-level opportunity for healthcare leaders to discuss more about the evolving treatment landscape of hematological malignancies, primarily lymphomas and multiple myeloma.

Rachael Almond, Director Pan Human Bank, Abu Dhabi Biobank engaged in a deep dive of how a world-class oncology biobank can support lymphoma research alongside Imber, Dr. Bouthaina Dabaja, Dr. Carla Hajj, Dr. Suhendan Ekmekcioglu, Dr. Shahrukh Hashmi, Dr. Stephen Grobmyer, and Dr. Juliet Teddy.

The conference and conversations highlighted innovations in radiation oncology, multidisciplinary care, and translational research—fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to improve patient outcomes.
