Recently, I attended the 90th birthday party of my exceptional father in the beautiful Maurick castle in The Netherlands and I would like to share with you his key characteristics, which I highlighted in my speech. - His love & kindness to help others in need;
- His honesty and fairness in life (which is probably why his chose a career as a lawyer and judge);
- His positivity in life and always looking for creative solutions to solve problems is the best way to overcome negativity (Part of that is that I never experienced him saying a bad thing about someone else);
- Great work ethics, dedication and never complaining. When you grown older you start to see that you are more and more resemble your parents and I am happy to see that all his children and grandchildren have all turned into good people who incorporated my father’s (and mother’s) core values, which is his true lasting legacy. I, therefore, ended my speech with the words of Spinoza who played and important role in the believes of the Christian Jesuits where my father spent most of his childhood at boarding school, which reads ‘Ab uno disce omnes’, and means ‘once you know one of them you know them all.’ Up to 100 years Insha’allah 🎉

Beautiful transformation from this very kind patient of mine. She started before the operation at a weight of 131kg and now after the operation she is 86kg. The operation has been positively life changing for her.

Happy to finally officially receive the (full) Adjunct Professor certificate from the UAE University from Acting Dean Prof. Juma Al Kaabi. Unfortunately, this ceremony was delayed since 2021 because of COVID restrictions. Looking forward to continue our fruitful collaboration now that I moved to private/ Mediclinic where we also have an active teaching collaboration with the UAEU medical educational program.
