🏩Definition still stands: Hypertension = BP ≥130/80 mmHg.
Stage 1 hypertension: 130–139 / 80–89 mmHg.
Normal: less than 120/80 mmHg.
💡Key shifts:
Stronger emphasis on early prevention rather than waiting for numbers to climb dangerously high.
Lifestyle interventions are pushed as first-line defense, especially for borderline cases.
Earlier use of medication in high-risk patients even if BP is just mildly elevated.
