Mosaic of the Mind.
In the formative years of our youth our experiences are imprinted within us, and become the foundation of our ever-evolving being.
In youth, the vulnerable and impressionable brain is exposed to stimuli and situations that influence areas of our character related to adaptability, perception, language and creativity.
These early-formed neural connections shape unconscious tendencies that define our present-day being, from the focal points of the mind to communication styles and impulsive behaviors.
Like mosaic tiles, these early experiences, sensations and memories are assembled together to create a larger mosaic of the mind.
It is therefore essential to recognize how our present day inclinations and impulses, both that serve and impede us, are rooted in memories accumulated over the years - visual impressions inherited from the worlds that we've moved through.
Through this introspection we gain insights to the source of our thoughts, attitudes, and mannerisms, giving us clarity into the diverse elements that reside within us today.
These inner elements encompass a wide spectrum of psyches, ranging anywhere from the artist, athlete, and scientist to the creator.
The way I see it, each of these elements undergoes a nuanced evolution based on unique experiences, trials and exposure.
I truly believe in the power of using these elements for inner integration: to bring together, cultivate and embrace our inherently multi-dimensional nature.
It is through this integration that we transcend limitations and build a new state of being; an everyday rebirth that honors the past while embracing the limitless possibilities of the future.
Your heart’s compass, your mind’s inclinations, your body’s flow, and your soul’s instincts – all together form the mirror of your life’s mosaic.
Despite our continuous growth, healing, ambition, self-knowledge and ascent to greater heights, I can't help but wonder...
Do we truly ever leave our mosaic?
