Two weeks since I left my workplace, and I truly thought I wouldn’t miss it. But after 10 years, I can honestly say time flew by, and my heart is full of gratitude.

To everyone I’ve had the privilege of working with, to the patients who became like close friends and family, and to the professional network I’ve built over the years in Dubai — thank you. You’ve all played a part in shaping not just my career, but my life.

A special thank you to my boss, , for taking a chance on me and allowing me to prove my worth. I joined when there were only four branches now, it’s grown into the leading dental provider in Dubai. What an incredible journey it’s been.

To , my work mom — you were the first to greet me on my first day, and you’ve been a constant source of mentorship and support ever since. Thank you for guiding me all these years.

To , like a work dad — always looking out for me and having my back. I couldn’t have asked for a better colleague and mentor.

Abfraction happens when you don’t replace any posterior teeth timely. Excessive forces causes the teeth to bend or flex at the gum line where enamel is less dense leading to micro-fractures and loss of tooth structure.

When posterior teeth are missing, the bite pattern changes causing a shift in how chewing forces are distributed. Instead of being spread evenly across the entire dental arch these forces become concentrated on the remaining teeth often the lower front teeth.

Treatment: Restoration and replacement of missing teeth.

Throwback to 2017 at HQ for the Myobrace Certified Provider Summit with the founder, Dr. Farrell, marking 8 years of my journey as an airway-focused dentist. Back then, airway orthodontics wasn’t widely accepted and often met with skepticism.

I remember a friendly debate with my good friend 😂. He initially recommended extracting premolars for my son due to space issues. Instead, we chose timed extractions to guide permanent eruption and yes, I secretly gave him a Myobrace! No extractions were needed in the end.

We tracked his progress closely with ceph and OPG and although mouth taping wasn’t common at the time I used it to help keep the appliance in place overnight. The result? A well-developed arch with enough room for proper alignment.

Be a contrarian. Challenge the norms. 💡
