Two years ago, I was lost and unsure of my path, wondering what my next steps would be.
I still remember hearing Danielle Nova speak at an online conference and feeling a spark of recognition. At that time, I was already certified in addiction recovery coaching and psycho-spiritual integration yet I hadn’t met many people weaving recovery work with the intentional use of entheogens.
Something in her words gave me hope. So I reached out.
Danielle, replied with warmth and kindness, and we connected on a call. She listened, encouraged me to follow my vision, and most importantly, she believed in me so much that I was invited to host the recovery meetings of the San Francisco Psy che de lic Society.
Even though I am on the other side of the world, she made space for me. And from that moment on, my journey began to shift. 🌍
For the past two years, on the second Monday of each month at 5am or 4am while in Europe, I’ve woken up to hold these 6pm PST recovery meetings.
Each meeting has been an honor, a deep learning, and a reminder of the incredible healing that unfolds when people are seen, held, and supported as they share their stories and move through recovery.
This work has shaped me just as much as it has shaped the communities I’m serving. Today, I carry lessons from these meetings into life with gratitude and respect for the power of connection, community, and new ways of what most people know recovery can be.
Thank you, Danielle, for your trust as sometimes, when we walk a road that hasn’t yet been created, all we truly need is someone to believe in us.
