Understanding your cornea is the first step to protecting your vision. 👁️
The cornea is the clear, dome-shaped front layer of your eye, made up of five important layers: Epithelium, Bombslayer, Stroma, Descemets, Membranes and Endothelium.

Common corneal problems include abrasions, keratitis and corneal dystrophies.
Symptoms to look out for:
• blurred or distorted vision
• eye pain or redness
• sensitivity to light
• excessive tearing
• feeling like something is in your eye

Treatment may include antibiotic, lubricating or steroid drops, protective contact lenses, corneal cross-linking for keratoconus or a corneal transplant in severe cases.
