Usages of the word(Wish) according to various structures.
Wish: It is used to show hope and desire.
Str(1): Sub+wish(es)+that+Past perfect tense.
#:The above structure is used to show regret about past.
Exp: He wishes that She had cooked rice.
Exp: I wish that I had been to America.
Str(2): Sub+wish(es)+that+simple past tense.
#:The above structure shows that something is totally against reality and fact.
Exp: The crippled man wishes that he could play cricket.
Exp: The doctor wishes that he was an engineer.
Str(3): Sub+wish(es)+that+Sub+would+basicverb+comp.
#:The above structure is used to show the ambition of some in the future.
