DM me or visit my website for more info www.yournutritionaljourney.com I understand that getting healthy is a multifaceted and at times difficult journey which is likely to present physical, mental and behavioural challenges. I’m here to offer support around your nutritional and lifestyle habits and share my resources and exper

iences to help you overcome and understand these obstacles. My nutritional journey began with a desire to create and provide a healthy balanced lifestyle for my family. I left a career in finance to focus on bringing up two small kids, which allowed me the time to explore my ongoing passion in understanding health and how to apply it to my family. As my interest and knowledge grew, I became the go to person among friends for nutritious, but tasty recipes and realistic tips on how to get healthier. As the pandemic slowed everything down, I grabbed the opportunity and read a course in Holistic Nutrition & Health Coaching, qualifying as a Nutritional Health Coach a year later, founding . I am now extending what I’ve been doing all these years for myself, my family and friends, to clients who are seeking to achieve their healthy lifestyle goals in a balanced way and to work on sustaining that balance throughout their lives. I will help you understand certain medical diagnosis, provide guidance and support for various areas of nutrition, including but not limited to: micro and macronutrients and the roles they play in the body, digestion, hydration, metabolism, energy levels, fat loss, muscle gain and good gut habits. Together we will establish tools and tips which really do work and will lead you down your own nutritional journey, learning about store cupboard staples, healthy recipes, pantry planning, intelligent exercise and much more. When I’m not cooking, developing recipes or exploring food, and learning more about practical philosophy, you’ll find me either outdoors or exercising, and of course spending quality time with family and friends. SERVICES
I can offer support for certain conditions such as food intolerances, high cholesterol levels, weight gain, menopause and other hormonal issues, stress and other gut issues which can all be greatly helped though diet and lifestyle changes. I also offer support for wanting to change your eating habits even if you do not have evident health issues, but are looking for a general lifestyle improvement.

One last reset before summer 🌿

I created the 26-Day Habit Calendar because I kept asking myself: how do I actually reach women in midlife and help them build habits that support their changing bodies?

Not advice that gets ignored. Not another program that feels overwhelming.

Something gentle. Something doable. Something that meets women where they are.

What’s inside:
🌿 Daily habits small enough to actually do
🌿 Weekly themes — nervous system, fuel, movement, mindset
🌿 Built-in reset days so nothing feels overwhelming
🌿 Three habit levels — keep it alive, core, or extra support
🌿 A weekly anchor habit to come back to when life gets busy.

If you’ve been thinking “there has to be a better way to support myself through this” - this is it 🌿

📣Doors are open until Wednesday May 6.

🐘One day you feel strong, lean and completely yourself. The next morning you wake up and somehow overnight you look like you’ve literally swallowed an elephant.

Bloating in midlife is one of the most frustrating and most common things women go through.

It’s not in your head.
It’s not because you’ve “eaten badly.”

It’s your hormones shifting and your gut shifting with them.

Digestion slows down. The microbiome changes. The body becomes more reactive to stress and to foods you used to tolerate without a second thought.

A few small things that may help:
🌿 Slow down at meals; chew well, eat seated, breathe before your first bite
🌿 Add fibre gently, through whole foods, not all at once
🌿 Walk for 10 minutes after eating to support digestion
🌿 Notice your stress; bloating often shows up when our nervous system is overloaded

Small habits. Not big overhauls 🌿

You’re not broken. Your body is just asking for something different now.

✨ My May Habit Reset is open - 26 days of small, supportive daily habits to help your body feel like yours again.

Doors close Wednesday May 6. Link in bio, or DM me with any questions.

Eating less is making it worse.

For decades, women have been told: “As you get older, eat less.”

So we shrink our plates. Skip meals. Cut out food groups.

And now, so many women in midlife genuinely struggle, or feel scared to eat enough.

Appetite changes. Mornings feel rushed. Food becomes another thing on the to-do list.

So when someone says “just eat more protein” it can feel impossible.

I get it. I’ve been there.

But here’s what I want you to know: your body isn’t asking for less food. It’s asking for more of the right food 🌿
(And yes, protein pairs beautifully with fibre, but that’s a post for another day.)

Save this as your reminder that eating enough, especially protein, is part of looking after yourself in midlife.

I’ve always had tight hamstrings. Nothing new 🫠

But then my hip flexors started getting tight too. It built up slowly until one day, I noticed my range of motion had changed. Stairs felt uncomfortable after long walks. Squatting at the gym, something I’d always done easily, became much more challenging.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Research shows 70–80% of women experience musculoskeletal symptoms starting in perimenopause and for many, like me, it comes out of nowhere.

It’s still there. Yes. Not as bad as it was, but it hasn’t fully gone. It hasn’t stopped me from moving though. I know how important movement is for us so I kept going. Gentler and modified movement when needed and sometimes different movement altogether. But moving.

When something aches, the instinct is to rest and wait for it to pass. And sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed. But for a lot of midlife aches, gentle movement is what actually helps and knowing the difference matters.

Here’s what’s actually happening 👇
Dropping oestrogen levels reduce joint lubrication, collagen production and tissue elasticity. That’s why tight hip flexors and aches pretty much everywhere, become really common in perimenopause and menopause, and why stiffness and inflammation follow.

What actually helps:
🌿 gentle daily movement / mobility - motion is lotion 😉
🌿 strength training 2–3x a week
🌿 protein at meals
🌿 steady hydration
🌿 lowering the stress load

It’s not a quick fix. But small, consistent habits genuinely change how your body feels.

There’s a reason for it.

Can we talk about the rage for a second? 🌿

I’ve always been a bit moody, that’s just me. But this was different. One minute completely fine, the next absolutely furious. No warning. No reason. Zero to a hundred in about two seconds flat.

And the worst part? I didn’t even connect it to perimenopause at first. I just thought I was losing the plot😅

Then came the hot flushes, which actually disappeared almost as quickly as they arrived. And recently tight, achy hip joints, something most people wouldn’t even think to connect to hormones.

That’s what nobody tells you. Perimenopause doesn’t always look like what you expect and it doesn’t always look like what someone else is going through either. It can be subtle, confusing and easy to dismiss.

Which is exactly why I do this work. Because if I was questioning my own experience, I know so many of you are too.

You’re not losing the plot. You’re not overreacting. Your body is changing and you deserve support. 💛

DMs are open if you want to talk 💬

Perimenopause doesn’t announce itself. It just quietly takes your energy, your mood and your sense of self. 🌿

That’s why I do this work. Because no woman should have to feel lost in her own body without support.

If you saw yourself in any of those slides; the exhaustion, the frustration, the feeling of just not being yourself anymore-there is a way through.✨

I’m Karyn. Health, nutrition and lifestyle coach for women 40+. And I’d love to help you feel like yourself again.💛

These are a few reflections from women who completed my 26-Day Habit Reset.

In just 26 days, they felt more like themselves again.

More energy.
Better consistency.
Habits that finally fit their life, not fight against it.

No extreme workouts.
No restrictive diets.
No starting over every Monday.

Just simple, structured daily practices designed to support the midlife body.

Because this stage of life doesn’t need more pressure…
it needs the right support.

⚠️I’m opening enrollment for the next round of the 26-Day Habit Reset.

If you’re tired of the stop-start cycle and ready to feel stronger, more in control and at home in your body again…

Dancing my way into my sixth decade 💃

Grateful for the privilege of reaching this milestone…. for the gift of time, experience, growth and the memories and lessons that shaped who I am today.

Fifty is a big number… but it’s still just a number.
Age isn’t an illness.

We don’t age because of years. We age when we let numbers limit or define us.

I believe how you show up at this age makes all the difference.
When you nourish, move and support your body, rather than letting age write the rules, you get the chance to redefine what’s possible 💪

And honestly… if this is 50, I’ll take it 💥✨💃
