Kirstie practices SOT chiropractic, a gentle technique suitable for all ages. Kirstie loves helping people feel and function better.

Dr Kirstie opened Kirstie K Chiro in 2017. Kirstie has post graduate Chiropractic training in Cranial Therapy, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Ankyloglossia Bodywork (Tongue-Tie issues), Paediatrics, Infant massage and Visceral Techniques. She has a strong interest in women’s health, birth preparation and recovery, and is passionate about children's health. Kirstie has a special interest in cases with a complex history of trauma, illness, auto-immune diseases, headaches and migraines. Kirstie prefers a gentler, specific approach suiting those whom prefer non manipulative Chiropractic. This is particularly suitable for newborn checks, children, women or those recovering from trauma, illness or surgery. She works with local IBCLC (Lactation Consultants), Midwives, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists and Massage Therapists to provide a network of care for clients. Kirstie graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chiro) and Masters in Clinical Chiropractic. She has worked in practices in Melbourne, Toowoomba, Willunga, and Blackwood before opening her home based practice in 2017.

We know that a baby’s nervous system is the key player in how they grow, move, feed, comfort, thrive.

Cervical spine for latching, tongue movement, head control, sleeping, colic, swallowing, breathing, heart regulation, arm & shoulder function

Thoracic spine for digestion, nutrient absorption, arm & shoulder function, lung function, heart regulation (yes, here too)

Lumbar spine & Sacrum for bladder, bowels - constipation/diarrhoea, crawling, leg function

I love your answers to yesterday’s question - why do I check so many kids?

Movements, breathing, sleeping, eating, latching, pooping - these are some of the reasons people bring their kids for chiropractic care.

The nervous system is the body’s master control system, coordinating movement, growth, and healing, and chiropractic care supports its optimal development by reducing interference and promoting clear communication between the brain and body.

Hi I’m Kirstie

Ten years ago I started my own little practice.

I have changed practice location, how I practice, and my hair multiple times in that decade.

I have reverence for each iteration and the people I have met and helped along the way.

I practice SOT chiropractic. SOT works to support the body’s ability to maintain health and balance (homeostasis).

It’s a beautiful technique that I continue to learn, and am currently working towards certification as a Craniopath (lots of skull & brain stuff).

I love learning and I love helping people feel and function better.

I looked forward to sharing information about movement, nourishment, inspiration, rhythm/routine, replenishment, and introspection.
