Welcome Niamh to our Proactive Health Team

About Nimah...

From Flinders University, Nimah graduated with a Bachelor of Health Services and Masters of Physiotherapy. She is passionate about helping people move better and feel more confident in their bodies in their everyday lives. She has experience working across a range of presentations, with a strong focus on practical and individualised care.

Outside of work, Niamh enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is actively involved in Irish dancing in Adelaide and also helps her family run dance school in Port Pirie. Her background in dance gives her a strong appreciation for movement and the importance of staying active across the lifespan. Finally, if you are unsure her is pronounced Neeve!

Niamh will also be based at our Goolwa Clinic.

📚 Why Professional Development Matters for EPs 📚
In Australia, accredited Exercise Physiologists (EPs) maintain their registration through Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) by completing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year.

CPD is split into two key areas:
🔹 Further Education – staying up to date with the latest research, evidence-based treatment approaches, and condition-specific learning
🔹 Self-Education – developing skills around business, leadership, clinical supervision, and reflective practice

ESSA requires 20 CPD points annually, which equates to about 20 hours of learning and upskilling for our Exercise Physiologists

The purpose?
👉 To ensure we’re continually improving our knowledge and skills so we can deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to the people and communities we support.

At Proactive Health HM, PD days are about more than just ticking CPD boxes. They’re a chance to:
✨ Dive into the latest research
✨ Refine our clinical practice
✨ Come together as a broad team and lean into the diverse experience, perspectives, and brain power we have as an extended group

The Veteran Vitality & Engagement Program launched at the Henley & Grange RSL in August as a new initiative supported by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to help connect veterans and their families 🤝
