Has your family been hinting it might be time to check your hearing?

At Hear More Audiology, we understand that changes in hearing can sneak up on you. Taking that first step to book a hearing test can feel overwhelming and it’s completely normal to want to put it off rather than admit your hearing isn’t quite what it used to be. But ignoring it can affect your overall health and wellbeing, while addressing it early can genuinely be life-changing.

In our latest blog, we explore the signs that it might be time for a hearing check and how we can help you take that first step.

No two ear canals are the same – and while that’s our fun fact of the month, it also plays an important role in how hearing aids fit and perform.

That’s why every Hear More client is carefully measured to ensure the correct size and fit. If your prescription requires it, we can also take custom ear impressions so your devices sit comfortably and securely.

Once your hearing aids arrive, our team will fit them for you – and you’ll enjoy a 30-day, no-obligation FREE trial to make sure they feel great and support your hearing needs.

Access the hearing care you need, with support from the HSP.

The Hearing Services Program (HSP) helps eligible* Australians cover the cost of hearing tests, hearing aids, and ongoing support — including pensioners, DVA card holders, and veterans.

At Hear More Audiology, we make it easy. We’ll check your eligibility, guide you through the paperwork, and help you access the right services and devices for your hearing needs. If you’re not eligible for HSP, we also offer self-funded options and can advise on private health insurance rebates.

With this week being Tinnitus Awareness Week, there’s no better time to highlight one of Hear More’s owners and audiologists - Chris Laird. Tinnitus is one of Chris’s special areas of interest, and with her Masters in Audiology and Honours in Psychology, she truly understands how hearing loss and tinnitus can impact how people feel.

Chris takes the time to listen to her clients’ needs and works with them to find solutions through a combination of hearing aid technology and personalised counselling, tailored to each client’s goals and expectations.

It’s Tinnitus Awareness Week!

If that ringing or buzzing in your ears has been hard to ignore lately, it's important to realise you’re not alone, and we're here to help!

While there's no 'miracle' cure, across our careers as audiologists, we have each had many successful tinnitus patient outcomes.

One of the most common underlying factors is untreated hearing loss. In fact, research suggests up to 90% of people with tinnitus also have some degree of hearing loss. That’s why addressing hearing loss (often with hearing aids) can, in many cases, reduce the severity and intrusiveness of tinnitus.

If tinnitus is starting to impact your day-to-day, you don’t have to manage it by yourself. We’re here to help you find the right support and solutions.

Our audiologists stay up to date with the latest developments in hearing care and technology. And as an independent clinic, we’re able to offer the newest hearing aid solutions from all major, reputable brands - giving you more choice and the best possible outcome for your hearing.

Whether you’re new to hearing aids or an experienced user, Hear More Audiology has you covered with a full suite of services designed to support you at every stage of your hearing journey.

We love a fun fact! Did you know that your hearing and taste are more closely linked than you might think?

When your brain is working harder to process sound, flavours can feel a little muted and noisy environments can make meals less enjoyable. Hearing loss can also change how your brain prioritises sensory information, which can subtly shift how you experience taste.

The good news? There may be ways to help. If you think hearing loss is impacting how you experience the world around you, our audiologists are here to help you find solutions.
