🦋 Naturalistic & play-based learning

There is no one-size-fits-all approach when supporting individuals with disability. A range of strategies can be used, including structured teaching, visual supports, modelling, social stories, and naturalistic, play-based learning.

A social story is a short, simple story that explains social situations, routines, or expectations in a clear and positive way. They are especially helpful for children who might find it tricky to understand social cues, transitions, or changes in routine.

💡 Tip: Social stories work best when read together, discussed, and revisited regularly so the child can practice and apply the ideas
