Playing the role of sleepy pony โœจAnnieโœจ. She always understands the assignment and she is ALWAYS the main character ๐Ÿค๐Ÿผ Equine Exercise Physiology 101

โ€ข Horses switch between aerobic (oxygen-based) and anaerobic (explosive) energy depending on the work.
โ€ข Aerobic metabolism builds stability, posture, and long-term soundness.
โ€ข Anaerobic metabolism gives speed + power but increases fatigue and injury risk when overused.
โ€ข Many horses hit anaerobic stress too early because their stabilisers and posture systems arenโ€™t trained yet.
โ€ข Building aerobic capacity first is one of the strongest injury-prevention tools we have.
โ€ข Smart conditioning + supportive therapies = better circulation, recovery, and movement quality.

Blood Doping and Splenic Contraction ๐Ÿฉธ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ

What the research highlighted:
โ€ข Sympathetic activation triggers the spleen to contract
โ€ข This rapidly increases circulating red blood cells
โ€ข The mechanism originally evolved as a survival response

Clever horses with their clever bodiesโ€ฆ love it when they breathe

Equine Locomotion-Respiratory coupling
โ€ข Horses use a 1:1 stride-breath ratio at the canter and gallop
โ€ข Breathing becomes mechanically linked to ribcage movement
โ€ข Posture, gait changes, tension and terrain influence ventilation efficiency
