Sleep is one of the three key pillars in the Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for children — alongside physical activity and screen time.

But it’s often one that’s not spoken about as much!

Sleep plays a huge role in how children learn, regulate, and function day to day. And when it’s off, we often see it show up in behaviour, energy, and attention.

This isn’t about perfect routines or getting it right every night. It’s about recognising that across a full 24 hours, sleep, movement and downtime all work together — and even small changes can make a difference.

But we aren’t sleep experts.. if sleep is still feeling really challenging and you feel like you’ve tried it all, it can be helpful to speak with:
• your GP
• a paediatrician
• a child & family health nurse

Today we are sharing an appreciation post for our clients who show up and work hard to achieve their goals!

We love when our sessions are filled with laughter, fun and good conversations!

Here’s a reminder that exercise doesn’t have to be serious to be effective. - We love when people bring their favourite toy in to join us, put their own spin on the exercises we complete, and make each session their own.

Thank you for always working hard, bringing the fun, and making every session brighter!

Many parents still wonder whether strength training is safe for kids.

For years, people believed lifting weights could be harmful for growing bodies. But research now shows that when strength training is age-appropriate, supervised, and focused on good technique, it is safe and highly beneficial for children and adolescents.

Strength training can help support bone development, build strong muscles and tendons, improve coordination, reduce injury risk, and boost confidence.

And for kids, strength training doesn’t have to mean heavy weights in a gym — it often looks like bodyweight exercises, climbing, resistance bands, swimming, and learning new movement skills.

Day 10 - Christmas tree knockdown
Today lets make our way down to the christmas tree forest to knock down and find the perfect Christmas tree!
Today’s exercise involves decorating 10 bowling pins as Christmas trees and finding different ways to knock them down. How many fun movement movements can you use to knock down the trees? Try throwing, kicking or even sliding!
Don’t have a bowling pin set at home? Thats okay! Find some soft objects around your house to use - toys, toilet paper rolls, boxes, or even create some trees from cardboard!
