Having some fun with regular social groups , catching up with friends or a leisurely stroll in our local community gardens are some of the ways our participants access the community.

Community access Support provides access for a person with a disability to engage in recreation tasks, social opportunities and enables an individual to develop skills and competencies.

Participants who access their community in various ways: be it through work, community events, hobbies or activities has proven benefits with having a sense of belonging, an increase in self-esteem and feel they are valued.

Our supports team certainly enjoy being a part of the journey and the smiles say it all.

Amber has really enjoyed participating in Life Skills
Queensland Empower Workshop Program over the last few weeks. An awesome group of people coming together to try their hands at woodwork, welding, resin art, cooking, small engine maintenance and diy home maintenance. It’s sparked the creativity and endless possibilities for any future projects of interest for Amber. Its been an enjoyable experience and thankyou to the team at Life Skills Queensland, you guys have been excellent!
