✨ BEFORE & AFTER: WHEN YOUR BEDROOM STARTS AFFECTING YOUR MOOD ✨

This was bedroom yesterday.

Bed unmade for over a week.
Curtains closed.
Clothes piling up.
That awkward “not dirty enough to wash, not clean enough to hang up” pile 😂

In Feng Shui terms, the room is holding stuck emotional energy.

And guess what?

This room sits in my Southwest sector — love, relationships, and emotional harmony.

Because this is the Southwest relationship sector, it often mirrors:
💕 connection with partner / marriage
💕 relationship with self
💕 patience and emotional steadiness
💕 the feminine, receptive yin energy of the home

When this area gets heavy, it can show up as:
✨ irritability
✨ short temper
✨ feeling disconnected
✨ emotional exhaustion
✨ “everyone is annoying me” energy

No surprise I’ve been feeling irritated with everyone and a bit over life lately.

In Feng Shui, clutter isn’t just about mess.

It creates stagnant qi.

When that stagnant energy sits in the relationship area of the home, it can feel like frustration, short tempers, emotional heaviness, and even disconnect.

My stars here are 8-3-7.

✨ Mountain 8, grounding, support, emotional stability, home base
✨ Facing 3, irritation, arguments, frustration, reactive communication
✨ Annual 7 = sharp words, tension, criticism, mental agitation

So when the room energy gets stuck, those stars can feel louder.

Sometimes the house reflects exactly how we’re feeling.

Sometimes it also keeps us there.

It was time for a reset 💕
I slept so much better last night.
Wonderful to wake up in a clean, decluttered space.

As with anything, now I have to clean up my “retired” desk in the office so I can move my “Feng Shui work” in. Out with the old, in with the new. 💕

Save this if your bedroom has been feeling heavy too.

A simple Feng Shui tip you can try today 🌿

Open your windows for 10–15 minutes 🌬️

That’s it.

Fresh air helps shift stagnant energy and brings new life into your home ✨

It won’t replace a personalised Flying Stars analysis —
but it’s a beautiful place to start 💫

Think of it as giving your home a little reset 🤍

Try it in:
🛏️ your bedroom — for better sleep
🛋️ your living area — for lighter energy
💻 your workspace — for clarity

Then notice how it feels…

✨ lighter
✨ calmer
✨ clearer

Small changes can create a real shift.

Your house might be making things feel harder… without you realising it.

Not because anything is “wrong” with your home —
but because the energy isn’t supporting you right now.

In Flying Stars Feng Shui, every home has a unique energy map.

Some areas support:
✨ health
✨ relationships
✨ money

And some areas can feel like:
💭 things not flowing
💭 tension in the home
💭 poor sleep
💭 feeling stuck or flat

Here’s the part most people don’t realise…

It’s not about decorating or adding random cures —
it’s about working with the specific energy of your home.

The same “tip” won’t work for every house.

That’s why I always say:
✨ Every home is different
✨ Every chart is different
✨ Every result is different

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing simple things you can look for in your own home 👀

And sometimes…
it’s not life falling apart —
it’s your environment not supporting you during a harder cycle.

If something feels “off” in your space…
there’s usually a reason for it.

WATER ENERGY IN YOUR HOME 💧

Water energy is about flow, opportunities, wisdom and new beginnings.

In Feng Shui, water represents the movement of life — the ideas, connections and opportunities that flow towards you.

When Water energy is balanced in a home, people often feel:
• Clear headed
• Calm
• Intuitive
• Open to opportunities

When Water energy is low, life can feel a little stuck or stagnant.

An easy way to introduce Water energy into your space is with still water.

Try adding:
• A beautiful bowl of water
• A glass vase filled with water
• Images of water like lakes, oceans or rivers
• Colours like deep navy, blue or charcoal

I personally prefer still Yin water in most homes unless I know the Flying Star chart.

A simple bowl or vase of water can gently activate the Water element without overpowering the space.

Water reminds us to slow down, reflect and allow life to flow.

Sometimes the smallest changes in a home can shift the energy in a big way.

Ever walked into a home and thought…

“Wow, this place feels organised.”

That’s Metal energy at work.

In Feng Shui, Metal is the energy of clarity, structure and getting things done.
It’s the filing cabinet of the elements — the part of your home that likes things neat, tidy and purposeful.

When Metal energy is balanced in a home, you’ll often notice:
• Clear thinking
• Good decision making
• Organisation and systems that actually work
• A sense of calm order

When Metal energy is out of balance, homes can feel:
• Cluttered or chaotic
• Overwhelming
• Like nothing ever quite gets finished

A little Metal energy can go a long way.

Simple ways to support Metal in your home:
• Declutter a drawer or cupboard
• Add something round or circular (Metal loves round shapes)
• Bring in metallic tones like silver, gold or brass
• Create a dedicated space for paperwork or planning

Think of Metal as the energy that helps you cut through the noise and focus on what matters.

And sometimes… all it takes is clearing one small space for the whole house to feel better.

Wood energy in Feng Shui is the energy of growth, ideas, and new beginnings.

It’s the feeling you get in springtime when everything starts waking up again. Buds on trees, fresh green shoots, and that sense that life is moving forward.

In your home, Wood energy supports:
• New opportunities
• Creativity and inspiration
• Personal growth
• Starting new projects
• Motivation to take action

You’ll often find Wood energy in:
• Plants
• Fresh flowers
• Green colours
• Tall, upright shapes

If you’re feeling stuck, unmotivated, or unsure of your next step, your home might need a little Wood energy to get things moving again.

Sometimes something as simple as adding a healthy plant or bringing in a touch of green can shift the energy and help things grow again.

Just like in nature…
When the Wood energy is healthy, life keeps moving forward.

Yesterday we talked about the Fire element — the energy of visibility, recognition and being seen. Fire is the spark of life in a home.

Today, let’s talk about Earth.

In Feng Shui, Earth is the energy of stability and support.
It’s the element that helps you feel grounded, safe and settled in your home.

When Earth energy is strong and balanced, life tends to feel a little more steady. Decisions feel clearer, emotions feel calmer, and you feel supported by your environment.

You often see Earth energy in things like:
• ceramics and pottery
• crystals and stones
• square shapes
• earthy colours like beige, terracotta, sandy tones and soft yellows

Too little Earth energy can make a home feel unsettled or chaotic.
Too much can make things feel heavy or stagnant.

Like everything in Feng Shui, it’s about balance.

Your home is always speaking through its elements — and when you start noticing them, you begin to understand the story your house is telling.

Tomorrow we’ll look at the Metal element, and how it influences focus, clarity and structure in your home.

Today let’s talk about Fire energy in your home. 🔥

In Feng Shui, Fire is all about visibility, confidence, and being seen in the world. It’s the energy of reputation, recognition, and the spark that makes people notice you.

When the Fire element in a home is supported, people often feel:
✨ more motivated
✨ more confident
✨ more willing to put themselves out there

When it’s low or drained, it can show up as:
– feeling invisible
– lack of motivation
– not being recognised for your efforts

Simple ways to gently support Fire energy in your home include:
• Good lighting (especially in darker areas)
• Candles or a fireplace
• A little touch of red, deep pink, yellow or orange tones
• Letting natural sunlight into the home

Fire energy reminds us that our home isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s also a place that can help us shine.

And sometimes a small change in the right place can make a surprisingly big difference.

Sometimes when the energy in the house feels a bit flat, I like to do something very simple called moving 27 things.

In Feng Shui we work with the Bagua, which is an energy map of the home. It’s made up of nine areas arranged in a 3 × 3 grid. Long before floorplans existed, this pattern was seen in the markings on a tortoise emerging from the river. The flying star numbers used in classical Feng Shui follow the movement of energy into each of these grid sections.

Nine areas, three rows — that’s where the number 27 comes from.
When you move 27 things, you symbolically wake up the energy in all parts of the home and get things circulating again.

It doesn’t need to be complicated.

What I often do is gather 27 small items from around the house and place them on the dining table. Then I slowly move them back around the home, rearranging things as I go.

Another easy way is simply to pick something up, clean it, and place it back where it belongs.

The point isn’t redecorating — it’s stirring the energy.

Think of it like opening the windows in your house.
The energy wakes up, moves around a little, and suddenly the home feels brighter again.

🌊 Feng Shui Tip Sunday with Feng Shui Grandma

Today at my house it’s Water Remedy Refresh Day. 💧

In Classical Flying Star Feng Shui we sometimes use Water to balance the energy of certain stars in the home.

I personally like using Yin Water — calm, still water energy.

Think peaceful pools, gentle ocean water, or a beautiful bowl of fresh water placed intentionally.

Once a week I refresh mine.
Fresh water, clean bowls, clear intention.

It’s a simple little ritual that keeps the energy in my home feeling balanced.

The first photo is one my daughter took of an ocean pool.
To me, this is the perfect example of Yin Water energy — calm, reflective and peaceful.

Feng Shui isn’t always about big changes.
Sometimes it’s just maintaining the good energy that’s already there.

Do you prefer the energy of the ocean or a calm pool?

✨ What Are Flying Stars in Feng Shui? ✨

People often ask me what I mean when I talk about the Flying Stars in a house.

Here’s the simple explanation.

In classical Feng Shui, every home has an energy map. Think of it like the house’s invisible weather pattern. Some areas bring support, opportunity and good luck… while others can create arguments, illness, or obstacles.

These energies are called Flying Stars.

They “fly” because the energies move and change over time — every year and every month.

So one part of your home might be great for:
💰 money
💡 ideas and creativity
👩‍👧 family harmony

And another area might trigger:
😠 arguments
😴 exhaustion
🤒 health issues

My job is to read the energy map of your house and explain what it’s doing to the people living there.

Once you understand the map, you can make small changes that help the house support you instead of working against you.

And that’s when things start to feel easier.

A little Feng Shui Home Energy Check

Over the years I’ve noticed something interesting when reading homes with Flying Star Feng Shui.

Certain patterns often show up before we even look at the chart.

For example:

• If arguments keep happening in the same room
• If one area of the house feels unusually heavy or tiring
• If a room is rarely used even though it’s perfectly nice
• If someone in the home struggles to sleep in a particular bedroom

Very often there is a specific Flying Star energy influencing that part of the home.

Our homes have an energetic pattern based on when the house was built and when the family moved in.

Once you understand the pattern, small adjustments can make the home feel calmer and more supportive.

I’m curious…

Have you ever noticed a room in your home that feels very different from the rest of the house?
