Moon and Back Personal Training We are a supportive community encourages you to prioritise your health and well-being. I, have been running Moon and Back Personal Training since 2016.

Prior to working in the Fitness profession I worked as a Registered Nurse for 13 years in Paediatrics, Emergency, Travel Medicine and General Practise. The drive for my career change happened after my mum died suddenly of a heart attack at 56years of age. This increased my passion for educating and motivating people to prioritise their heart. With my nursing experience in mind I plan my fitness sessions with a holistic approach, taking the whole person into consideration, not just looking at the exercise. I work primarily with women and I am continually educating myself to ensure my clients can work at their own capacity. So far my biggest achievement would be the community and connection between people that I have managed to create. By having this supportive community and incorporating fun & play within the sessions I am able to help people stay fit and strong for life, both physically and mentally.

Term One starts tomorrow with one of my favourite sessions online.

Pit Stops are essential in everyones program, just like they are for a car in a Grand Prix race.

They help regulate your nervous system,.
Improve movement of fluid in your body.

Instead of thinking about what you need to cut out, what can you add to your daily diet??

I loved this advice I got years ago from a dietitian.

We often have a big plate of salad and veggies in middle of the table at dinner time.

It means everyone can serve themselves.

There’s plenty of colour = lots of goodness

We sit at the table longer = opportunity to chat and connect.

So many benefits to adding a rainbow to plate.

In the meantime I thought I’d share a delicious brekky I had this morning which was packed with flavour!

🌟Zucchini Fritters (I made a bunch so they are ready to go!)
🌟 Beetroot Hummos (thankyou for the inspo)
🌟 Rocket, Avocado, Natural yogurt, Sunflower seeds, Pepitas and pepper.

Having prepared the fritters and the hummos over the weekend it was so easy to put all this on a plate in less than 2 mins!

Absolutely delicious 🥰

Power sessions have made an appearance in some of my classes of the last 12 months and after introducing them each week this January I am excited to say they are going to be making a permanent appearance on the timetable this year!

There are so MANY benefits to training this way, but the one I like the most is they prepare you for life!

Think ..

🌟 Stopping in a hurry to avoid being hit by a bike
⭐️Changing direction when your dog pulls on the lead
🌟Getting off the ground to chase after your child

The list of examples goes on…

Term One hasn’t started yet however I have been busy working out a NEW timetable so keep a lookout for what’s coming next term!!

In the meantime I have been doing some Pop-Up sessions on a Tues and Thursday morning at 7am for those who are around .. if you would like to come and try out a session please contact me!

And last week I kicked started a new program l, Commit 2 Yourself. I am really excited about this one and can’t wait to share the feedback!

I feel like we are constantly bombarded with what we should and shouldn’t do around our health.

This can be overwhelming, confusing, maybe leave you feeling guilty or like a failure because you can’t do what you are “supposed” to be doing.

That’s why I have created this program to help you get back to basics, keep things simple and feel the power of small actions.
