🙏 Grateful to for inviting me to speak at their latest conference! What an incredible opportunity it was to reconnect with colleagues and friends from across the gynaecological community.

The discussions around surgical techniques were fascinating, but what really stood out was the conversation about developing more well-rounded doctors. It’s not just about perfecting our technical skills - it’s about nurturing the whole practitioner: communication, empathy, leadership and continuous learning!

Already looking forward to the next meeting! 🩺

Last week I had the pleasure of presenting at the AGES (Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery) ASM on the management of unexpected deep infiltrating endometriosis during diagnostic laparoscopy.

Conferences like these are a great opportunity to share knowledge and experience as well as gain insights into the latest advancements in endometriosis care.

Thank you for having me !

Did you know that April is Adenomyosis (ad-uh-no-my-o-sis) month?!✌🏼

Adenomyosis is a condition in which cells from the lining of the uterus (endometrium) are found within the muscle layer of the uterus (myometrium) and is thought to affect 20-35% of women. It exists in two different forms – diffuse, where the cells are interspersed throughout the myometrium, and focal, where it forms a mass in the uterus which can be confused for a fibroid. Women with adenomyosis may be asymptomatic or complain of abnormal, irregular or heavy menstrual bleeding, painful periods or pain during s*x. The mainstay of treatment is with hormones for women who have not completed their families, such as the Mirena IUD, or hysterectomy for those that have.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month🎗

Instead of posting statistics or information today on endometriosis, I’d like to take the opportunity to not only raise awareness for the disease that is but raise awareness for the strong and inspiring people who battle with this disease on the daily!

The endometriosis journey isn’t always a clear or simple one however seeing my patient’s perseverance and strong will in tackling their obstacles is truly inspiring. Keep up the amazing effort !
