This week, the ACM and RANZCOG released a joint statement calling for new national legislation that would restrict the “management” of labour and birth to registered practitioners only, making it unlawful for anyone else to support women through birth.
(They’re forgetting women are making these choices because they DON’T want their labour “Managed”🫠)

But restriction isn’t the answer.

Women aren’t walking away because they’re confused, they’re walking away because they don’t feel safe, heard, or respected within the system.

Midwives weren’t consulted before this statement was made, and many of us don’t agree that more control will create safety.

What we need are solutions that rebuild trust, protection for midwives, improved access to homebirth, collaborative care, and a maternity system that honours women’s autonomy.

It’s time to focus on what would actually make birth safer for everyone.

✨ I’d love to hear your thoughts…
What changes do you believe would create real change?

A picture is worth a thousand words….
My last visit with this Mum was spent in Ceremony. This is not something I have experienced a lot of in my life and I felt it much more deeply than I even expected to. These transitions deserve ceremony. Mothers deserve to be held, given the space to integrate the experience of birth or whatever else it is that comes up… I am so grateful to be in this space, to be growing, softening, opening as a human being and this is only the beginning…

There’s something that shifts when you begin working with a faja.

It’s not just a tool — it’s an ancient way of gathering yourself back together.

A way to feel held, centred, and supported through the cycles of your life.

Whether used in postpartum recovery, during menstruation, or in your daily grounding, the faja reminds you to slow down, return to your body, and honour what it carries.

These are the same handwoven cloths made by Doña Dominga and her family in Guatemala, each one taking seven days to weave by hand. You can feel their time and care in every thread.

The Faja Pre-Sale is open until 1st November, or earlier if stock sells out.

Once this collection is gone, the next won’t arrive until after April.

✨ Pre-order now — shipping early December.
