Barbell back squats - great way to provide a general leg strength stimulus. As I'm in more of a general hypertrophy stage at the moment I've been aiming for 10-12 repetitions while maintaining good form but will progress to more weight and less repetitions to provide more or a neural strength stimulus in my next training block.

My primary goal for the start of the year has been to create some consistency around my training before my schedule gets hectic again with the final semester of my Master's degree approaching. I have decided to create a split program revolving around hypertrophy training to set a base for the rest of the year. Today's pull session involved super setting a major exercise such as a lat pulldown with an accessory exercise that won't affect the main lift such as a rear delt fly.

Exercise is supposed to be FUN. Don't like running? That's OK, do something else! Surfing. Dancing. Yoga, Hiking. Gardening. Find a workout you enjoy and DO THAT.
