You would be surprised at the benefits of omega 3 fats- research shows there to be a positive link between the consumption of omega 3 fats and significant increase in mood, decrease of depressive symptoms and benefits such as:

I have salmon once a week. I find my body responds best to a protein rich diet, and salmon is an excellent source of high quality protein. It’s packed with omega3 fatty acids that are great for inflammation and hence the cardiovascular system and healthy blood pressure.

The high quality protein and omega3 fats also keep me full for longer. Eliminating any cravings.

Here is a recipe of my favourite salmon dish and a side of Shepherd’s salad:

1. Place salt, pepper , paprika lemongrass and rosemary on the salmon and cook it in the air fryer or cook it in a pan with olive oil.
2. Dice tomatoes, parsley and onion, add pepper, paprika, salt, sumac, olive oil and lemon. Mix the salad.
3. Place the salmon and salad on a plate and it’s ready to serve.

Morning coffee in reflecting on the ups and downs of 2023 and brainstorming ideas on nutrition initiatives for 2024.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year as it brings a sense of community and joy to our hearts.

New years on the other hand excite me, as a time to look back and reflect on moments that have allowed me to grow, learn and be grateful. I then visualise what the next year could look like with my goals, dreams and plan of action.

If you haven’t already I recommend journaling on lessons learned, moments of gratitude of the past year and visualise your desires for 2024.
