We’re so excited to introduce the newest babies on the farm! 💛 These fluffy little bundles have safely hatched and are already enjoying lots of snuggles under mum’s watchful wing.

There’s nothing sweeter than tiny peeps and soft yellow fluff to brighten our days 🥰

🌾 Community Care & Connection Day — Coming Soon 🌾

We’re opening the farm gates for a weekly Community Care & Connection Day — a relaxed, hands-on morning to connect, contribute, and care for the land and animals together.

This is a group-based community volunteer day, focused on shared experiences, routine, and connection in a natural farm setting.

🗓 Wednesdays
⏰ 9:30am – 1:30pm
👥 Max 8 people per session
💚 Free | Volunteer-based

What we’ll be doing:

🌱 Garden beds & light farm tasks
🐔 Chicken coop enrichment & care
🐐 Feeding goats
🐴 Horse grooming (no riding)

This day is about being part of something, moving gently, and contributing alongside others — not therapy, not paid support.

Horse riding is available for NDIS participants as well as non-NDIS individuals, making it a great option for anyone looking to enjoy time with horses in a supportive setting.

Whether riding, grooming, or spending quiet time with the horses, our experienced team ensures each session is safe, respectful, and enjoyable.

At Urban Buddy Farm, participants enjoy hands-on animal care and gardening activities designed to support wellbeing, routine, confidence, and connection.

From feeding and caring for horses, goats, chickens, and ducks, to planning and building garden beds, each session is paced to individual ability and supported by our caring team. Activities encourage responsibility, gentle movement, choice-making, and a sense of achievement in a calm, natural environment.

Leftover Love: Holiday Treats for Pets & Farm Friends

Christmas leftovers can bring lots of smiles—just remember, not all treats are safe for our furry and feathered family!
Here’s a quick guide for sharing the love (and the snacks):

✔️ Veggies like carrots, peas, pumpkin, and sweet potato: great for dogs, goats, and chooks!
✔️ Plain cooked meats (no bones, seasoning, or fat): safe for most pets in moderation.
✔️ Fruit scraps (apple, banana, melon): chooks and goats love them, but avoid seeds and pits.

❌ Chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, and anything with xylitol: dangerous for dogs and many animals.
❌ Leftover stuffing, rich desserts, and fatty meats: best kept for humans!

When in doubt, keep it simple and stick to safe, natural treats.
