Here’s what I would start doing TODAY:
1. Get gentle. What do anxiety, anger, fear & doubt all have in common? They are hard. They are sharp. They are strong. Welcome the opposite to start balancing things out. Be gentle with yourself. Be kind. Be compassionate. Be patient. Be trusting. Be soft. Soften your shoulders, your belly, your jaw and your heart.
2. Start repeating affirmations that encourage new, self loving & life loving thoughts & beliefs. Affirmations are mantras, they are thoughts & they are wisdom seeds. What seeds have you been planting in your mental garden? If you’re anxious… you’ve been consistently planting seeds of fear, insecurity & “what ifs” which are producing fruits of anxiety. 🎙️ 🎧 GO to “MADISON MINDSET THE PODCAST” & search for affirmations. There are sooo many! Listen, repeat & unlearn 🧚🌲🪻
3. Get out in Nature daily. Barefeet on the ground 👣, listen, close your eyes, feel & allow Mother Nature to remind you of the beauty, calmness & peace on this Earth. 🪻🌲🌿🍄
4. Practice Daily Presence. Set a peaceful timer for every hour. When the timer goes off, stop whatever you’re doing, see what’s around you without judgement, hear, feel, taste, smell… take a loonggg breath in through nose & an even longer breath out through the nose. Soften your body, let your jaw, shoulders & belly soften… & smile - continue with your day.
5. Get rid (or limit as best you can) things & people who stir up that anxiety, fear, doubt or anger. Is it something on the tv? Your phone? A particular person? An app? A certain time of day? See if you can recreate small moments of your life to distance yourself from things that really aren’t serving you.
