WHY wouldn’t I tell you to do these things?

1 >>> repeating old hurts over & over in your mind isn’t ‘healing’ them. It’s re-living them & further imprinting them on your mind. INSTEAD : we practice reframing, learning, forgiving & letting go.

2 >>> living life as if you are the main character is the same advice that is leading to MASSIVE disconnection & complete disillusion. It creates distance between you are reality, you and other beings & ultimately you and all of life. INSTEAD : practice oneness & come home

3>>> doing everything at once leads to overwhelm (I’d know, I’ve been there tried that) AND it also gets you very little result. INSTEAD : we don’t skim the top of many waters, we go D E E P into the aligned practices for you.

4>>> guided meditations are great for relaxation & some of them even assist with physical healing HOWEVER if you need to get out of your head, calm your mind & reconnect with yourself & life… you’ve got to sit still, in silence & observe yourself.

In a 90 minute session with me we are going to slow down, remove the distractions & step into a beautiful sense of peace, oneness & belonging.

It’s a beautiful “ahhhhh” moment for your nervous system 🌱🌲

Do you have to be perfect? Of course not, I am still working on following these daily & I’m not going to lie it’s been a tough integration as so many of the things we do daily are HABITS & simply not supportive of daily enjoyment or peace 🧚

With that said, here’s my WHY’s:
1. Presence: If you’re not here… then where are you? Be here now. You’re not a time traveler (right now at least) so fully embody THIS moment. Leave the other moments until they arrive.

2. Eat intentionally: it’s actually been proven that when you eat with the intention to nourish your body and your PRESENT as you eat, you receive more physical nourishment as a reward.

3. Contentment: things could always be better/easier/cleaner/etc but life is what we make it. Allow things to be. Stop wrestling with life constantly- no wonder we are exhausted!

4. Make time to relax daily: no, relaxation is NOT a luxury; it’s a health necessity.

5. Get into nature daily: Mother Nature is your mumma & your body needs her to survive & thrive. Get out there & interact with the realness of nature.

6. Daily Meditation: you know why.. 🙄

7. No scrolling or Mindless watching: scrolling is an addiction & binge watching is a coping mechanism. Neither of those things lead to joy or peace.

8. No Smart watches: … I always get the eye roll in my Yiga classes when I tell people to get rid of them… SERIOUSLY. They radiate you, they make you part human part smart phone & they destroy your ability to be present because instead of only your phone dinging & vibrating, your body has joined the party! Throw them in the bin.

9. Stay in your lane: everyone’s journey is their own. My partner is always reminding me of this. “If you chase 2 rabbits you’ll catch none”. Let your journey be yours & focus on you. Ps: this is the “FOMO” cure

10. Gratitude: stop trying to “manifest your dream life” for a moment & realise that there is SO much to be grateful for already. After all, gratitude is an incredible manifesting force.

Those are my *negotiable but highly recommended* rules to follow for true life enjoyment.

Here’s what I would start doing TODAY:

1. Get gentle. What do anxiety, anger, fear & doubt all have in common? They are hard. They are sharp. They are strong. Welcome the opposite to start balancing things out. Be gentle with yourself. Be kind. Be compassionate. Be patient. Be trusting. Be soft. Soften your shoulders, your belly, your jaw and your heart.

2. Start repeating affirmations that encourage new, self loving & life loving thoughts & beliefs. Affirmations are mantras, they are thoughts & they are wisdom seeds. What seeds have you been planting in your mental garden? If you’re anxious… you’ve been consistently planting seeds of fear, insecurity & “what ifs” which are producing fruits of anxiety. 🎙️ 🎧 GO to “MADISON MINDSET THE PODCAST” & search for affirmations. There are sooo many! Listen, repeat & unlearn 🧚🌲🪻

3. Get out in Nature daily. Barefeet on the ground 👣, listen, close your eyes, feel & allow Mother Nature to remind you of the beauty, calmness & peace on this Earth. 🪻🌲🌿🍄

4. Practice Daily Presence. Set a peaceful timer for every hour. When the timer goes off, stop whatever you’re doing, see what’s around you without judgement, hear, feel, taste, smell… take a loonggg breath in through nose & an even longer breath out through the nose. Soften your body, let your jaw, shoulders & belly soften… & smile - continue with your day.

5. Get rid (or limit as best you can) things & people who stir up that anxiety, fear, doubt or anger. Is it something on the tv? Your phone? A particular person? An app? A certain time of day? See if you can recreate small moments of your life to distance yourself from things that really aren’t serving you.
