I'm writing an article for a new magazine publication. The theme is water.

The dear singing bowls were long overdue for an energetic and elemental spring clean. I needed to slow down my brain, and to ask the water what it wants me to write.

So, off to the Cascades it was this arvo; a jolly good excursion just ten kms down the road. Not another human in sight. Happy days. And, an article well underway.

Over the five sessions on the full day program we combine specific breath, sound medicine and energy experiences for earth, water, fire, air and ether.

Bendigo, this is Donna, one of the regular human delights who've been sharing Tuesday night sound meditation with me for the past few years.

She's now opened up her home studio space True Essence Yoga in Eaglehawk, and it's a cracker. Comfortable, spacious, good acoustics and lovely Donna energy.

We're back there this week for Tuesday night tune-in tune-ups. We had a test run early in the month, then the hiatus for Compass Retreat. Now the regular fortnightly sound schedule can begin (Castlemaine alt Tuesdays)!

A fingers away from keyboard day. I was gifted a guided practice with ritual, nature and creativity.

It was quite delicious to be immersed in something with no outcome, and to not look up at the others around me and what they were doing, until I was done.

And then, there was a beautiful recognition of how unique each one was; a quiet celebration of theirs and my own creativity (which is handy to have when I often think I'm a bit boring or hitting the repeat button). Play brings the remembrance.

Right, I've been given clarity around the Malmsbury location hitting the market at the end of spring. So, I'm opening up treatment slots for November on Monday morn, Thurs arvo and some Fri morns. Make hay while the sun shines and all that.

And, I've set up a spring special for Bendigo and Malmsbury sessions. 1:1 appointments for $95 if you book, pay and attend by 30 Nov. No need for a discount code, it's been set up as a unique appt type.

The Cone of Silence. What happens on retreat stays on retreat. No roving cameras or pictures are allowed in the studio while the program is underway.

The pine cone was also our handy little 'talking stick' in the Compass Retreat circle, and a reminder that whoever holds the cone shares from the heart without disruption.

We talked, moved, chanted, wandered, listened, got hammam-ed, ate, rested, processed and took a deep dive in an intimate small group setting.

We limit Compass numbers so we can cultivate a space for trust in which everyone can be seen and heard as we connect with our truth.

Places are open for our 2026 event 6-8 November. We've opened payment plan options of ten and five months to support people to join me and Awaken Yoga Studio. Will it be you putting your head on a comfy pillow at Continental House Hepburn?
