Presidential hopeful Mr D Trump, recently talking about the missile system he would build:
"ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. They’ve only got 17 seconds to figure this whole thing out. Boom. OK. Missile launch. Whoosh. Boom.”
Then trying to explain his own speaking style: “The fake news will say, ‘Oh, he goes from subject to subject.’ No, you have to be very smart to do that. You got to be very smart. You know what it is? It’s called spot-checking. You’re thinking about something when you’re talking about something else, and then you get back to the original. And they go, ‘Holy s**t. Did you see what he did?’ It’s called intelligence.” Hmmmm ...

This has been an extraordinary Court Trial of putting FLUORIDE in water supplies. It's been running in the highest court in the USA for 4 years, and coming to a head now. It has run for so long because of (a) Covid-19 delays (b) Government health agencies have tried like hell to get it tossed out, but they have failed. The expert scientific witnesses for the plaintiffs (against fluoridation) have provided much stronger evidence than the defendents, who have tried to argue that fluoride intake is safe for infants and babies. This report gives a good overview of the court case, and why a judge will be deciding on it. If fluoridation of water has to end in the USA what will it mean for countries that have (somewhat blindly) followed the USA in this; countries like Australia, New Zealand etc? Most countries don't support or practise fluoridation.

The health effects of a cavity-fighting chemical backed by health providers for decades will be on trial starting Wednesday, marking a unique development in implementation of the EPA’s landmark chemicals law.

Funny things happen in these strange times. Sitting on an outdoor bench in the sun, around the spot in the pic, when a slightly dishevelled woman walking past stopped, looked me in the face and said: "Is everyone going crazy or is it just me?"
So many ways to take that. I could only smile and start to say "umm, ahh, err". She didn't wait and walked on. I did want to confirm her suspicion that she was crazy, and that everyone else probably is too. Then I had a special thought. She had picked me to ask the question to — did she suspect that I was not crazy? That would mean that not "everyone" is crazy. It would also mean she is pretty smart if she can pick the non-crazy one. So many possibilities and it made my day.

My bronze medal from the '56 Melbourne Olympics. Mine? I would have been under 3 at the time and NO, I didn't get it in the under 5 Yoga comp! I don't think I even attended; my older bro might have gone along with Dad one day; I must ask him. My Dad got it for acting as a volunteer doctor -- all the doctors got one I believe. Now it's in my safekeeping. And I do reckon if my Dad was alive now, much as he loved sport he would be disgusted at the Games going ahead when Tokyo hospitals are over-run with Covid cases and daily new infections have risen to double what they were just before the games, so far. That's my take and I think my Dad might have felt that way.

Rolling Stone magazine endorses Joe Biden for president! Holy Moly -- is that the Rolling Stone of Woodstock, Bob Dylan and John Lennon of the '60s? They advocate for steadiness and restraint! How things change.
"Fortunately for America, Joe Biden is Donald Trump’s opposite in nearly every category: The Democratic presidential nominee evinces competence, compassion, steadiness, integrity, and restraint."

Vice President Biden’s platform offers progressive solutions to every major problem facing the country, and he has the experience to put those principles into practice

YOGA — the word is used for different things, particularly since being appropriated from Indian & Vedic culture by western corporatisation.
Most definitions revolve around the linguistic root of the word, meaning union, unification, joining together or integration. The uniting of Yoga refers to an integration of the 'spirit of the individual' (Jivatman) with the 'Universal spirit' (Paramatman or Parabrahma).
Words fail however in adequately describing that Universal Spirit or that union; and most of the ancient texts and modern teachers agree on that. Words simply fail.
Modern marketing has tried to present Yoga as a system of bodily postures and exercises. But in reality it is a mystical concept and a 'whole of life' movement of consciousness. The exercises referred to as "Yoga" (very good in my view and 50 years of practice) are but a small side-branch of the great, time-honoured, spiritual practice of YOGA. The water you drink -- Fluoride -- infant brains. Three leading medical scientists in the toxicology field have published this short, readable summary of recent evidence on the effect of fluoride intake on the brains of babies, infants and the foetus in utero. I have known of it a long time; if it is new to you it is shocking.

Mounting evidence suggests fluoride may be hampering brain development and reducing kids' IQ. The US needs to rethink this exposure for pregnant women and children.

The nasty effects of FLUORIDE on the infant and foetal brain. A Federal court case has been taking place on that issue in the U.S.A. across 2020. This superb video interview is conducted by Robert Kennedy Jnr, with Michael Connett, the attorney presenting the case against the U.S. EPA in court. It includes short, clear summaries of the scientists presenting the evidence that fluoride damages the brain as well as shocking and surprising admissions of the scientists hired by the EPA to defend their position of NOT properly regulating fluoride being added to water supplies (and therefore to the bodies and brains of babies, infants and everybody).

Don't miss Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s enlightening conversation with fluoridation lawsuit attorney, Michael Connett, highlighting some of the more interesting ...

SCOTT Morrison, prime minister, Please stop modelling your dumb, elbow bump greeting to the nation!
To stop this virus pandemic we are told by you and your health experts that we need to 'social distance' or physical distance ourselves by at least 1.5 metres. Yet almost every day when you appear on the news with any of your ministers etc, you are doing this elbow bump business. I estimate the distance between your mouth and nose, and your vicitm's mouth and nose is a maximum of 0.9 metres. Often less. Sure, sure, I know it is only for a moment. But aren't you meant to be the nation's leader? The one who not only tells people what they should be doing, but also doing it? If you can't maintain 1.5 metre distancing how can anyone else? Can you not use a tape measure? Do you not know what a metre is? Have Prof Kelly or Dr Coatsworth, your estimable health chiefs, not taught you what 'social distancing' is?

Fluoride damages the brain -- article on website 'Law360' about the Federal Court trial underway in USA now.
"San Francisco (June 10, 2020, 9:36 PM EDT) — Groups seeking to ban drinking-water fluoridation across America called a series of witnesses at a bench trial Wednesday to testify to its damaging effects, including a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency scientist who said that animal studies support the conclusion that fluoride has a damaging effect on infant brain development.

"Dr. Kris Thayer, director of the EPA’s Chemical and Pollutant Assessment Division, testified by video Wednesday that while there are limitations to the data collected in studies of the impact of fluoride exposure on animals, the animal studies support the conclusion that fluoride causes neurotoxic effects in humans.

"Counsel for the EPA noted that they challenged the plaintiffs’ subpoena of Thayer, but lost that challenge.

"Thayer, who previously worked at the National Toxicology Program, said the human brain is more vulnerable to toxic agents at infancy than adulthood because infants don’t have fully developed blood-brain barriers.

"Thayer’s testimony came on the third day of a bench trial before U.S. District Judge Edward M. Chen in a lawsuit that Food & Water Watch and other groups filed in April 2017. The suit aims to stop the practice of fluoridating water nationwide under the Toxic Substances Control Act, and it seeks a declaration from the court that fluoride in tap water poses an unreasonable risk of harm to humans.

"Fluoride started being added to water in the 1940s to improve people’s dental health, but the plaintiffs say it has since been proven that topical application, not ingestion, is the most effective way to use fluoride and that ingestion actually causes a host of health problems.

"During the trial’s opening arguments Monday, the government argued that the studies championed by the environmentalists are unreliable, biased and have too many inconsistencies to form conclusions about fluoride’s health risks.

"The nonprofits have called a slew of scientists to the stand to testify on their research on the neurotoxicity of fluoride, including a Harvard Universityepidemiologist on Tuesday who warned that fluoride is a human developmental neurotoxin that is lowering children’s IQ levels.

"On Wednesday, plaintiffs also called back to the stand University of Washington professor and physician Dr. Howard Hu, to finish his testimony that he began on Monday regarding an epidemiological study he conducted that looked at the impact of fluoride consumption on newborns and children by testing their mothers’ urine before they were born and then later testing the children’s IQ scores.

"Hu said his study “absolutely” found fluoride exposure to have a negative impact on young children, but declined to weigh in on policy recommendations, saying he didn’t want him or his work to be seen as biased. He said he continues to study fluoride exposure and will report on the studies no matter what the results.

"Plaintiff’s expert witness Dr. Bruce Lanphear, a professor of health sciences at Simon Fraser University in Canada, also testified Wednesday that higher exposure to fluoride during pregnancy “was associated with diminished IQ scores in children at 3 to 4 years of age.”

"Lanphear, whose research on environmental contaminants has been funded in part by the EPA, testified that he was not being compensated for his work in the legal case, but that he believed it was part of his public service duty to participate in it.

“We’ve allowed children with rapidly growing brains to be exposed to toxins,” Lanphear told the court.

"Witness Dr. Kathleen Thiessen, a scientist with the Oak Ridge Center for Risk Analysis, whose clients often include federal government agencies, said she worked on the National Research Council’s 2006 scientific review on water fluoridation and human health.

"Thiessen testified that the NRC’s review concluded that fluoride exposure can reduce thyroid function, which is especially of concern for pregnant women as thyroid function can reduce the proper development of their offspring.

"Thiessen said that in order to set a safe fluoride exposure level, scientists must first identify a level at which there is no observed adverse effect detected.

"The nonprofits and individuals, using the Toxic Substances Control Act’s citizen suit provision, are asking the court to overturn the EPA’s rejection of their 2016 petition to ban fluoride in drinking water.

"The case will test citizens’ and nongovernmental organizations’ power to force the agency to regulate chemicals it has deemed to be safe based on how a judge assesses the scientific studies and expert testimony that both sides will present at trial. If the plaintiffs are successful, it could embolden others to attempt similar litigation.

"The parties did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday afternoon.

"Food & Water Watch and the other plaintiffs are represented by Michael P. Connett of Waters Kraus & Paul LLP.

"The EPA is represented by Debra Carfora, John Do and Brandon Adkins of the U.S. Department of Justice‘s Environment and Natural Resources Division.

"The case is Food & Water Watch Inc. et al. v. EPA et al., case number 3:17-cv-02162, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
