Understand how pimples are formed, so you can learn how to prevent them 🤍

1. When a pimple is formed, a blockage occurs at the top of the Pilosebaceous unit (the opening at the end of the hair follicle)

2. This blockage causes anaerobic environment (no/low oxygen) which allows normal bacteria that live in our skin such as C.acnes to overgrow and have a party. This causes inflammation and creates pus and pimple formation.

So how do we prevent this blockage and therefore pimple formation? 🤔

We do this by:

* Correcting sebum/oil quality - (so it’s thin free flowing and not thick so it won’t cause blockages)

* Removing comedogenic skincare and makeup - (so comedogenic ingredients don’t causes blockages)

* Correcting our skin’s natural exfoliation processes - so it can perform its natural exfoliation processes and we don’t have skin cell build up causing blockages.

Your body will only produce healthy skin cells, if it’s given the environment to do so 👇🏼🤍

Our skin stem cells (that produce the rest of our skin cells) in each layer of the epidermis, are directly impacted by our blood quality and internal health. 🩸

meaning, if our blood is not delivering enough nutrients to our skin stem cells, they do not have the building blocks to produce healthy skin cells - leading to conditions such as acne.👷🏼

It also means, if our blood is carrying excess hormones, toxins and inflammation – our skin stem cells are going to be negatively impacted by this – and therefore will product unhealthy skin cells that don’t function optimally, causing skin conditions such as acne. 🧨
