Our Town Berri Vision: Berri, an inclusive town that thrives through community connections.

Working together to create strong identity and town pride where all generations feel welcomed and supported to embed and nurture a culture of positive wellbeing. We acknowledge that we are on the land of the First People of the Murray and Mallee.We pay our respects to the Elders both past and present and honour the laws and customs that cross this traditional country, the ancestors who taught and still teach the knowledge that is embedded forever with the Aboriginal people today.

FRIENDS OF BERRI TONIGHT!

Wednesday, December 10 | 5pm | 23 Wilson Street

Our last gathering of the year will celebrate with some holiday cheer! All welcome to enjoy some festive food together.

Friends of Berri will take a break over summer, review with community and think about how we will connect in 2026.

Come along to Friends of Berri, a community group built and led by community! An informal gathering space for people who want to see our home on the river thrive. Friends of Berri is a chance to meet your community, share, build ideas, innovate and yarn.

INTERESTED IN JOINING THE OTB TEAM?

A Community Weaver works in our team to weave connections, build relationships and facilitate community led initiatives to improve wellbeing in Berri.

We are looking for someone who:
🧶 Has knowledge and understanding of the Berri community and the Our Town Berri way of working
🧶 Works well in a team, builds relationships, and connects people, organisations and ideas
🧶 Has excellent communication skills in many forms
🧶 Can manage timelines, documentation, and a budget
🧶 Wants to learn about social innovation to lead change to improve mental wellbeing in Berri

FLEXIBLE CASUAL PART TIME WORK | HOURS NEGOTIABLE | SCHADS AWARD LEVEL 4

Berri Christmas brought our community together with an estimated 500+ people in attendance. Working together the Traders, led by Gail, the Berri Community Centre led by Sue, the Salvation Army and Our Town Berri with River Families First created an event that families have asked for. Funded by a PIRSA Connecting Communities grant, Our Town Berri, and supported with Council resources. Thankyou for all the positive feedback, together we are connecting and growing pride in our community.
Place based, community led work that centres the wisdom of the wonderful people of Berri.
Let’s keep the momentum going in Berri.
