Let’s carry this awareness forward.

Let’s keep creating spaces where people feel safe to be themselves.

Let’s keep listening, advocating, and showing up.

🧠 Let’s Talk About Misunderstanding

💬 “You don’t look disabled.”

This phrase is often said with good intentions — but it can be deeply invalidating.
Invisible disabilities like autism, psychosocial conditions, brain injuries, and intellectual disabilities don’t always show on the outside. That doesn’t make them any less real.

This week, we’re challenging assumptions and encouraging empathy. Let’s replace judgment with understanding.

🎧 Listen to our latest podcast episode where we unpack common misconceptions and hear directly from people living with invisible disabilities.

💬 “I may look fine, but I struggle every day.”

Invisible disabilities affect how someone thinks, feels, communicates, or interacts with the world — and often, others don’t see the challenges they face.

This week, we’re sharing stories from our community members living with invisible disabilities. These are real voices from people navigating autism, schizophrenia, brain injuries, developmental delays, and more.

🎧 Want to hear more?

Tune into the latest episode of the Navigating Disability Podcast, where we speak with Lisa, a community member living with a disability, discussing, her journey, her support network, and what visibility means to her.

“I have ASD and I’m learning to advocate for myself.”
“Living with schizophrenia means navigating a world that doesn’t always understand.”
“My brain injury changed my life, but not my worth.”

Let’s celebrate their strength and raise awareness together.

📊 Did You Know???

78% of participants in our community live with invisible disabilities.

I’m one of those 78%.

Most people wouldn’t know I have a disability — because I’ve learned to mask it so well. I smile, I show up, I get things done. But behind closed doors, it’s a different story. And honestly? That masking comes at a cost.

Invisible disabilities like autism, psychosocial conditions, brain injuries, and developmental delays don’t always show on the outside. But they shape how we experience the world — how we think, feel, and connect.

That’s 29 out of 37 individuals in our community — each with unique strengths, challenges, and stories. And every one of us deserves to be seen, heard, and understood.

💬 It’s time to break the stigma.
💙 It’s time to start the conversation.
