At some point in our lives, we can all experience a traumatising event that can leave us feeling shattered and alone.
It can be the loss of someone special, a relationship break up or maybe trauma inflicted by another person in the form of attack.

Whatever the source, trauma can leave a huge imprint on the brain and affect our health and relationships.

Time won't necessarily heal the scars, it's what we do with the time that will make a huge difference.

One of the most effective ways to let go of the past is to embrace the present. Instead of reliving the past and getting consumed with negativity, keep yourself active and enjoy the current moment. Learn a new skill. Meditate. Exercise.

Feeling out of balance mentally and emotionally?

I'm sure most of us can relate with feeling out of balance mentally and emotionally.

Most of us try to avoid pain and let's face it... WHO wants to be in pain?
Unfortunately, pain is part of life and growth, regardless if we want to admit it or not.

♦️Learn to become more present and practice self-awareness
♦️Allow yourself to feel.
♦️Practice emotional regulation work, identifying your emotions and learn to put them into words.
♦️Go inwards, practice self-compassion and self-love❤️.

And last but not least if you can't seem to find your balance know that it's ok to ask for support. Help is always available, you just have to ask.

How to start making new, positive memories to replace those negative memories from the past. Spend your time with the people who make you happy, the things that bring you joy and in the places that bring you peace. Making new memories is better then being stuck in the past 💯
If you have too many old memories its more difficult to make new memories. So, out with the old and in with the new.
Here's to living in the now.
