Has some young person in your life ever asked for a horse for Christmas?

Imagine them opening a gift on Christmas morning and discovering … a HORSE! (Okay, not literally in your living room).

But what if this year you can say YES?!

By sponsoring a share in one of our horses at RDA, your loved one can open a beautiful certificate with a photo of their sponsored horse on Christmas morning.

They will also have the opportunity come and meet and have a photo taken with their sponsored horse in 2026.

Certificates can be delivered digitally or by mail.

Huge shout out to who came last night to help us prep the property for summer by safely lighting our burn pile, managing the burn & making sure it was completely out & safe before they left. Thank you Box Hill/Nelson Rural Fire Brigade, we are lucky to have you!

Thank you to everyone who voted in the 2025 Westfield Parramatta Local Heroes Awards!
So grateful that Nicole has been recognised as a Finalist with $5,000 being donated to support the equine programs!
Congratulations to all the Nominees and the other Finalist Kilal from and we are so pleased that Ebony from Westmead NICU won $20,000 to go towards new medical equipment for tiny new humans!

Horse update

The last couple of months have been a bit tough around here, losses & gains are a natural part of life but the changes are never easy.
In July we said goodbye to Apollo, with us since 2018 he was much loved member of the team, he worked in our riding & groundwork programs, excelled in connections & would do anything for a carrot & good scratch! RIP sweet soul 🤎
In August Spider crossed the rainbow bridge to his waiting buddies, with us since 2020 this musk stick loving gentleman participated in our tots, riding & groundwork programs, he has been painted many times in our pony salon days where he would be prettied, primped & preened by his favourite participants. Although only little he has left a giant sized hole in our hearts & the yards! Rest easy old man 🤍
September saw us lose Honey, with us since 2018 she has participated in our riding & groundwork programs, children were her favourite, the little ones could do anything to her & she would just stand there until an adult approached & the attitude was put on full display 😂 Reunited with her beloved Spider they can now eat all the grass & carrots their hearts desire 🤍
For all the tears that have flowed there have been some smiles too…
We have welcomed Flick & Ellie into the team, those with eagle eyes may have seen Ellie on our page last year when the Grinch was wreaking havoc… we thank Flick & Ellie’s owners who have kindly trusted us with their precious ponies, we are excited for the next chapter.
