Today we say a heartfelt farewell to Kerry Souter, who is retiring after an incredible 31 years with RDA.

Kerry has been a truly valued member of RDA managing all of the administration and accounts duties, bringing dedication, reliability, and a wealth of knowledge to her role. Her commitment behind the scenes has helped keep everything running smoothly, and her contribution to RDA over the years has made a lasting impact on our organisation and the community we support.

Kerry will be greatly missed for her kindness, and the friendly presence she brought to the workplace. She has been a steady and trusted colleague, and it's hard to imagine Tall Timbers without her.

Kerry, thank you for your many years of service, your hard work, and the care you've shown to everyone around you. We wish you all the very best for this next chapter—may it be filled with relaxation, happiness, and all the things you love.

Please join us in wishing Kerry a wonderful retirement!

Last week we presented Life Memberships!

Lynn White aka The Scone Whiz has been heavily involved in fundraising, managing Bunnings BBQs and Volunteering for 20 years!
Lynn's scones are a regular hit at many fundraisers including Castle Hill Show and Horses' Birthday Lunch, you name it we have Lynn's scones involved!

Most people know Sophie as our current Coach but Sophie began volunteering when she was a teenager and has spent more than half her life at the Centre! She continues to go above and beyond to support the Centre and the Participants and we are grateful for her commitment.

Congratulations and thank you both!!

We are getting ready for our Annual General Meeting so it's always great to look back at what was achieved in the last year....

Here are some of our favourite quotes from our 2025 participants.....

"Our young people have grown in confidence, have built strong friendships with the group that attended
the program. This also translated to their school work in class."

"Confidence building. Confronting fears such as putting on a helmet. Fun."

"I love my days at Tall Timbers. I get to meet and make friends, learn work skills and look after horses,
especially Nugget"

“She loves going to horsey therapy and is learning to socialise with others. Without the caring and
patience of the trainers, she would not be able to access this type of activity”

“Riding for the Disabled isn’t just about horses—it’s about freedom, confidence, and connection. It opens
up a world of movement and joy for those who may have never experienced it before”

“RDA brings so much joy to my daughter”

“Equine-assisted programs offer powerful healing and personal growth by connecting humans with the
intuitive presence of horses”

“I can only say positive things about RDA. My son looks forward to every session and is always met
where he is at on the day, and leaves in a better and happier place. He is getting stronger physically and
it helps him regulate his moods and gain experience socialising in a safe place where everyone is kind
and makes him feel valued. Thank you!”

“The RDA creates a wonderfully supportive and fun environment for my child to learn, grow and enjoy his
programs. He adores the horses and the volunteers, and his riding classes are a highlight of the week”
