Smart Swaps: Mexican Seasoning

Many packet mixes are packed with salt, sugar & fillers. Mingle keeps it simple – just herbs & spices for big flavour, minus the nasties.

Better still, make your own with a blend of paprika, cumin, garlic + oregano!

R U OK? Day is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a big difference.

Life can feel heavy at times, and we never truly know what someone else is carrying. Today is about taking a moment to pause, check in, and genuinely ask, “Are you OK?”

You don’t need to have all the answers, just listening with care and compassion can help someone feel seen and supported.

Let’s look out for one another, not just today but every day.

💛 Body Image & Eating Disorders Awareness Week 💛
(1–7 Sept 2025)

This year’s theme, “Unpacking the Why,” reminds us that eating disorders are complex. They’re not a choice, and they’re never just about food. Genetics, mental health, trauma, body image pressures, and many other factors can all play a role.

By learning more and breaking down stigma, we can create a world where every story is heard and every body is valued.

You are not alone. Support is available, and recovery is possible.

It’s time to — and YES, that includes YOU.

From 1–5 September 2025, Women’s Health Week is in full swing across Australia, inviting all women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals to reclaim their health and wellbeing.

This year’s theme—Say yes to you—is all about putting yourself first. You’ve supported everyone else—now it’s your turn.

Each day focuses on a vital health topic to help you step into your power:

Monday (1 Sept): Every check matters – stay up to date with health checks
Tuesday: Take the lead – empower yourself in medical appointments
Wednesday: Heart Smart – shine a light on women’s heart health
Thursday: Pain to power – you don’t have to endure pain alone
Friday: Be kind to your mind – mental health is just as important

Let’s celebrate in ways that feel right for you—whether that’s chatting with friends, hosting a wellness hang, joining an event, or simply taking a moment for yourself.

Tag along with the celebration, use the inspiring resources, and don’t forget to and . When women thrive, communities thrive too.

Are supplements really necessary?

For most people, the best way to meet nutritional needs is through a food-first approach.

Whole foods don’t just provide vitamins and minerals — they also give you fibre, antioxidants, plant compounds, and the balance your body needs to thrive.

Supplements can be helpful in some cases (like diagnosed deficiencies or specific medical needs), but they’re designed to fill the gaps, not replace nutritious meals.

At Every-Bodies Dietetics, we’ll always focus on helping you get the most out of food first!

Nutrition Tip: Aim for 2 serves of fruit each day! 🍊

Fruit provides fibre, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support gut health, energy, and immunity.
One serve = 1 medium piece (like an apple or banana), 2 small pieces (like mandarins or kiwifruit), or 1 cup of diced fruit.

Simple ways to get your 2 a day:
✔️ Add fruit to your breakfast cereal or yoghurt
✔️ Keep a banana or mandarin in your bag for a snack
✔️ Finish dinner with a fresh fruit salad

Small daily habits = big long-term health benefits..
