Community and SIL Support Worker
About the role;
Far and Wide Support Services Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in Moreton Bay, QLD. This is a casual role that will involve providing compassionate care and support to disabled members of our local community. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and helping them to live independently in their own homes.
What you'll be doing;
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Providing companionship and social engagement to help reduce isolation and promote well-being
- Supporting clients to access community resources and attend appointments
- Advocating for client needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining detailed client records and documentation
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Working in a team environment and supporting our SIL home participant/s
What we're looking for;
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar community support or caregiving role, or lived experience
- A genuine passion for working with disabled individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
