We endeavor to go Hiking at least every 2nd weekend when we don’t have our teenage/young adult Brady bunch family .

Did this great little hour hike just south west of Brisbane. Easy track of dirt and gravel track, with a few wet areas we had to avoid. A “do not enter” quarry full of water was smack bang in the middle but we had no interest in going swimming ..

What a great morning exploring- a lazy stroll
Through the “old” botanical gardens, up to the summit for a view of the city followed by a short walk to JC Slaughter falls - more of a trickle than a fall atm, would have been awesome a month ago with all the rain ….

Another urban hike , this time in Brisbane - Toohey Forest - a green patch smack bang in inner South East of Brisbane , Last time we did the west portion, this time the east down to the Nathan campus of Griffith University ..

Life sometimes gets in the way .. Today’s Urban hike is Urban exploring - Melbourne CBD and MCG precincts … Such a pleasant surprise in the Treasury gardens - memorial to those who lost their lives trying to save lives whilst in service for Victoria .. such a lovely area.. Fitzroy gardens - World significance due to the Dutch elm being decimated in Europe and the last remaining trees planted in These gardens .. a gorgeous green space in the Centre of Melbourne ❤️

Urban walk today in Adelaide 12 km along the gorgeous beaches strip in Adelaide from Glenelg to Brighton and back 🙂

Today’s walk was only an hour and a half drive from Warrnambool 5 km south of Portland - we did a portion of the Great SouthWest walk from Cape Bridgewater to Cape Nelson and it was absolutely gorgeous on a 28° spring day. It’s very surreal walking on and through prehistoric petrified forest with the colours of native shrubs and flora with a 19th century lighthouse and 21st century wind farms surrounding the whole area, rugged, dangerous and beautiful . Nature is spectacular !

Lighthouse to Lighthouse , Queenscliff to Point Lonsdale - an easy 12km return undulating sand (Queenscliff) and sea wall (Lonsdale) walk rambling in front of the multi-million dollar mansions and shacks along part of Port Phillip Bay .

Todays trek was an uphill slog in the heat ! In QLD when they say do it in the morning , it means early ! First 1/6 and last 1/6 were easy , the rest - a steep constant rock scramble . Only two good spots for a view, half way - and the summit - 6km in and out up 520m took a good 3 hours ! Awesome view at the summit .

Out and about before the heat ! Some lovely walks in the State forest , a lot of variety , undulating south of the river inner Brisbane 🙂 - A small trek - Peggs lookout .

Today’s hike takes us to Penshurst in Southwest Victoria, one of the many dormant volcanic structures in this area - Mt Rouse .
The side of the walking track is a little hard to find you’ve got to head to the Penshurst quarry then take a right to get to the base of Mount Rouse. It’s a Loop track 35 minutes in total to the lookout and down .
We decided to go anti-clockwise, going up and over ground meandering track predominantly of grasses on the way down Bushland.
Great views of the Grampians all the way around .
Saw some wildlife - kookaburra, wallaby and thankfully No snakes !
A nice easy ramble 🙂
