🌟 Today is World Prematurity Day, a moment to shed light on the 1 in 10 babies born prematurely. Raising awareness is the first step in the fight against preterm birth. 💙

Our Special Care Nursery is a haven for babies born pre-term from 32 weeks' gestation, those facing health challenges, or those in need of a little extra support. 💕

Our dedicated team of neonatal nurses, midwives, and paediatricians works tirelessly to provide essential support not only to these precious babies but also to their parents and families.

Let's join hands in raising awareness, supporting research, and spreading love for all the little fighters out there!

The Wesley Hospital is operating as normal, and access to the hospital is not impacted.

Please take care and drive safely when coming to the hospital. Road closures and changes to road conditions can be monitored at https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/

Access to The Wesley Hospital via Chasely Street may be impacted at the Coronation Drive end, as tides rise and fall in the coming days. Access is typically able to be maintained via the Queensland Rail linkway across Auchenflower Station at the rear of the hospital.

Any patients booked for admission who are unable to travel to the hospital safely are asked to contact the hospital by phoning 07 3232 7000.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we have navigated the impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Take care and stay safe.

Congratulations to our food services team for bringing home two awards at the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare QLD/NSW Excellence Awards! 🏆

Wesley Hospitality Services Manager, Luke Hoskin, won this year’s Leadership Award for his outstanding leadership, collaboration, and dedication to developing others.

Plus, our Meals on Demand Room Service Project took out Project of the Year and is a credit to all members of our food services and nutrition and dietetics teams.

Wesley Director of Corporate Services, Emma Donkin said, “These awards are an amazing achievement, especially considering the strong competition from numerous hospitals, both public and private, across Queensland and New South Wales.”

“We’re honoured to have been recognised among our healthcare hospitality counterparts, and proud to see our food services team recognised for their hard work and dedication.”
