Normally when I travel, I make plans for my plans - lists, spots to see, places to try, food to eat... and there was no space for rest. And just be.
We live in a world that teaches us to treat rest like a reward, not a right.
But our bodies don’t need more achievement.
So this time… I did the opposite.
No plans. No to-dos. Nothing.
I let myself be.
Sometimes the deepest reset comes from doing nothing and remembering you’re still enough.
But to be honest… when a girl I’d just met asked what I’d been doing all morning, I felt this weird sensation in my body.
I had to say it out loud: ‘nothing… I did nothing.’
And it didn’t feel right.
It showed me how deeply my body is conditioned to believe that rest needs justification.
So this is something I’m learning too — that doing nothing is still ‘doing something.’
And it’s more than okay.
(And no, she didn’t judge me at all.)
