STILL NOT OVER THAT COUGH, COLD OR CHESTY VIRUS AND FEELING MUCOUSY AND TIRED?

There’s a wave of respiratory viruses doing the rounds right now — and in clinic, we’re seeing more and more people stuck in the post-viral slump. Lingering symptoms like a stubborn cough, ongoing mucous, chest tightness, and fatigue can hang around long after the initial infection has passed.

Post-viral recovery can be tricky, especially when your immune system needs extra support. The good news? You don’t have to just ride it out.

With the right herbs and nutrients, we can help calm the inflammation, clear lingering congestion, and restore energy — all personalised to your needs.

✨ Book an acute consult today and let’s get your recovery back on track.

What a wonderful evening we had with discussing the science of some of our favourite topics -
🌱power of the breath & the physiologic sigh
🌱neuroplasticity
🌱neurochemistry
🌱what drives motivation
🌱morning sunlight - something we’ve been advising clients for many years!
🌱tapping into creativity - practicing still body active mind
🌱visual focus driving cognition
🌱do hard things, challenge yourself
🌱acknowledging the behold moments 💚

And so much more!

One of the key points that we are pleasantly reminded of is this - we have access to a vast array of tools that we can implement at any one moment, to help regulate us physically, emotionally and spiritually.
These are not hacks, but finely tuned processes innate to us.
As Naturopaths we already know about many of these practices and they form a large part of the work we do with clients.
It’s very encouraging to see that what was once viewed as esoteric or woo woo (and therefore dismissed) is now becoming part of the mainstream conversation.
Science is catching up to eons of traditional healing methods and our future feels hopeful 💚
If you haven’t already we suggest you jump into podcast - there is so much incredible information to soak up!

Managed some time in the garden today and was happy to dig up this bounty.
All from one small piece I planted about a year ago.
Now to make some tonics 🧡.

OUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM IS THE BODY’S RUBBISH DISPOSAL SYSTEM and essential to our health. The Lymphatic System has EVERYTHING to do with immunity, illness and disease and when healthy it helps to boosts our immunity.

The intricate network of vessels, tissues, and organs of the lymphatic (body) and glymphatic (head & neck) systems play an essential role in our body's immune response, helping us ward off illnesses and disease.

Too often these systems are overlooked and with the stresses of everyday life they can become stagnant causing a build up of toxins making it easier for us to get sick. Swollen lymph nodes usually occur as a result of infection from bacteria or viruses.

Infections such as tonsilitis, sore throats, ear infections, sinusitis and coughs, headaches, gut problems, fluid retention, low mood, forgetfulness, muscle fatigue and swelling under the arms and in the groin are all contributed to by a sluggish lymphatic system.

Contact us to book a lymphatic drainage massage, our free handout on how to care for lymph at home or to do a naturopathic guided lymphatic detox.

A few things from the garden. Excited to harvest our first orange - from one of three different types of citrus trees. The paw paw was picked a little early as the possums keep eating them right of the tree.
Have to find a solution for this, as fruit is always best collected when it’s ripe.
And of course the chillis and eggs are an ongoing joy.
🌱
It really is doable, creating a reasonable food source on a suburban home block in the city!

One of the most nutritious whole foods available to humans, and yet also one of the most vilified.
Another example of the “science” getting it wrong.
Eggs are a powerhouse food and well worth ‘growing’ your own. So easy too!
Plus…. Hens are a wonderfully warm creature that mostly love being near humans! .
Our girls are new to laying and the eggs are still small, but the children love going out and finding eggs most days.
