“Her legacy is really huge”.

A bronze statue of journalist, comedian and disability rights advocate Stella Young has been unveiled in Stawell in Victoria's north-west.

Ms Young, who died in 2014 aged 32, was a passionate campaigner for more accessible spaces and the creation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

BREAKING: The police officer involved in the June 2020 assault of a young Aboriginal man in Surry Hills has been charged today.

This assault was caught on film, which is a big part of why this family is a step closer to justice than so many others. The Black Lives Matter movement is the other part. Now it is up to the courts to decide the matter.
