There are stretches you know would make you feel better — the ones that leave your muscles and joints thanking you.

After last week’s class, one of the ladies said, “I feel like I have oil in my joints.”

And I had to share that, because that’s exactly what it’s about.

It’s not about rushing into a run or a strength session without preparing your body.
It’s not about sitting at a desk all day and saying, “I’m not an athlete,” when really, you are — your body is working hard to hold you up for 8–10 hours straight.
So, how do you prepare before training? Before your day?

You can tell yourself you’ll do it tomorrow… but tomorrow becomes next week, and next week turns into next month.

That’s why I started the small group flexibility classes — so you can make it happen without excuses.

It’s a meeting with yourself. A moment to reset, move, and feel that “oil in your joints” kind of ease.

Just finished a great session in the park helping a client with flexibility and strength — now at Bulimba Community Centre for our flexibility class!

It’s all about balance and consistency — flexibility and strength go hand in hand. Whether you’re running, cycling, playing sport, or spending hours at a desk, your body thrives when you give it both movement and flexibility.

We’re into our 4th Monday night Flexibility class at Bulimba Community Centre, and it’s shaping up beautifully. Whether you’re a regular or just starting, thank you for being part of it!

Let’s talk about stretching.

Many people say they “stretch before training” — but realistically, how effective is a 5-minute stretch?
In that short time, how many muscle groups are you targeting? How much quality movement can you fit in?

At our 45-minute Monday and Friday Flex class, we focus on intentional, guided stretching and flexibility work. It’s not just a warm-up or cool-down—it’s structured training designed to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, aid recovery, and build body awareness.

One participant said after class, “Wow, that went quick!” That’s what happens when movement is purposeful and engaging.

Stretching shouldn’t be an afterthought. When done right, it becomes a key part of performance, injury prevention, and longevity.

Let’s start treating it that way.
