One of my favourite moments as a parent? Hearing our pēpi learn + say their colours in a different language for the first time.

From whero [red] to samasoni [orange] to lanu moana [blue] - these small wins feel big, because they’re more than colours… 
They’re confidence, connection, learning cultural pride, and belonging.
Our ALK Learning Flash cards make it easy to weave language into your everyday routines - bath time, play time, kai time… even in the car on the way to kura.

🌺 We’re back, refreshed, and ready to reignite ALK Learning after a much needed reset for family and our importantly our biz owner māmā 🌺

We’ve taken the past 6 months for family, rest, and reflection. Now, we’re back [and grateful] to continue the journey with more strength and support.

ALK Learning is here to continue give families and people within our communities the visibility to hold on to or go out and seek their Pacific Island languages. We keep them alive through fun and engaging resources and chats.

Pick a word from your flashcards and turn it into a bedtime story! 🌙✨ Whether it’s a moana (ocean) adventure or a whānau [family] gathering, let your child’s imagination run wild. 🏝️

Music makes learning easier! 🎤 Explore new Māori & Pacific Island songs together—sing along, dance, and make it a family jam sesh 🎵 [Need inspiration? We are working up the confidence here to share our singing of songs. Stay tuned]

ALK Learning is a Registered Trademark™️

Legally legit thanks to the incredible team at who have been nothing but supportive throughout the process. Five years ago I sat on a panel beside an amazing woman during IWD [the founder to Foundd] who reminded me how important it was to protect ourselves as women, support each other as women, and celebrate ourselves as women too 🥂

Almost one year ago we started ALK Learning. A platform, a resource, a learning tool and a creative avenue to express and elevate the journey of reconnecting and sharing our Pacific Island cultures into the home + community 🌺

It has definitely been one wild ride to date. A year ago, we were living out of a suitcase, juggling a job with no daycare, managing physical burnout and financial stress but today I stand as a woman, a māmā and a small business owner creating our own light in this world for both myself and pēpi, which is more than enough for us right now 🫶🏽

Thank you to all who have, and continue to support us and ALK Learning in this forever evolving space ✨

This afternoon we celebrated our little milestone with champagne, apple juice, a mini pool party and marshmallows 💕
