🎄 Celebrating our Allied Health Award Recipients 🎄

At our Allied Health Christmas celebration, we were proud to recognise two peer-nominated award recipients.

🌟 I am Xavier Award
Charlie (Art Therapist) was recognised for living the Xavier values every day — bringing creativity, clinical insight and deep compassion to her work with children and families. Charlie consistently goes above and beyond in her role, bringing innovation, compassion and humility to everything she does.

👏 Special Recognition Award
Maree (Occupational Therapist) was acknowledged for her calm, caring and collaborative approach. A trusted mentor and teammate, Maree’s wisdom and genuine support make a lasting impact on our children and young people and their families.

🎄Creative Christmas keepsakes for our Xavier Place guests💛

Throughout the year, Art Therapist Charlie worked with our Xavier Place guests to create beautiful self-portraits. This Christmas, those artworks were transformed into personalised mugs — a gift for each guest that is meaningful and uniquely theirs.

🎄✨ Getting crafty this Christmas ✨🎅🏼

At Xavier Place, it’s all about Christmas-themed activities this time of year, filling our community with festive colour, cheer and connection. Maddie, Joel and friends had a wonderful time creating bright, joyful cards and decorations — with Chester the therapy dog adding his own sprinkle of Christmas magic! 🐾🎨

It’s these shared moments of creativity and celebration that make the season truly shine. ❤️💚

🥗 Welcome to the team, dietitians Jenna and Trina!

We are delighted to welcome experienced dieticians Jenna and Trina to the Allied Health team.

💙 Jenna brings NDIS experience supporting children with complex needs including those with neurodevelopmental and rare genetic conditions to thrive with nutrition. She brings a warm, family-centred and practical approach with experience in restricted eating and tube (enteral) feeding.

🌟 Trina has over 13 years’ experience providing a wide range of nutrition services with children and adults in hospitals, aged care and outpatient clinics in Australia and overseas. She is passionate about helping children and young people grow, develop and enjoy mealtimes safely — whether by mouth or via a feeding tube.

Working closely with our speech pathologists Jenna and Trina will support Xavier children and families to make mealtimes safe, enjoyable and nourishing.
We’re so pleased to have you both as part of the Xavier community 💙

🎄✨ Christmas cheer at Xavier Place! ✨🎅🏼

It was a joy-filled day as we celebrated the festive season with our annual Christmas lunch!

Together we enjoyed a festive feast, all our fave Christmas tunes and a very lively Secret Santa that kept everyone laughing!

A special moment was gifting therapy Dog Chester and his owner Brad a gorgeous hand-drawn sketch of Chester by our talented Art Therapist, Charlie.

Bombs away! Marcus meets Sheppard at Australia Zoo! 🎉🎶

Marcus and his Support Worker, Megan, headed to Australia Zoo for an action-packed day and to celebrate Robert Irwin’s birthday. Marcus has some very special memories of meeting Robert back in 2024!

This time, the highlight was meeting Aussie band Sheppard ! Marcus loved rocking along to their tunes and soaking up every minute of the fun. What a day! 🎸

Joel and Riley were each doing their own thing at Xavier Place when - out of nowhere - they burst into song and started playing together. A completely unplanned, joy-filled moment shared between two new mates!

It was a beautiful reminder of how music brings us together. 💛
