What does true resilience look like? Look no further than WazaConda's own Anne Ryan!

This past weekend, Anne didn't just run the Gold Coast Airport 5km—she set a new AG Record. This incredible achievement is her THIRD official Age Group record at the Gold Coast Marathon, adding to her 2016 Half Marathon and 2022 10km titles.

What makes this victory even more spectacular is the journey she's been on. After suffering a broken arm and battling a frustrating hamstring injury, Anne's preparation was anything but ideal. Unable to run, she showed her champion mindset by swapping the pavement for the pool, diligently water running with the Brisbane Wobbegongs swim group every Monday morning.

From a broken arm to a broken record.

Alice has been locked in, consistently joining our Bulimba Think Fitness and WazaConda Currawongs chapters for those early morning workouts, no matter how dark or cold it is.
