Unsung Heroes is all about raising vital funds for unpaid carers - the incredible people in our community who give so much of themselves every day, often without recognition. These carers put others first while juggling life’s everyday demands, and this event helps support wellbeing programs that make a real difference.

Creating space for families to farewell their loved ones in unique and personalised ways can help to turn those unbearable moments into something that is a treasured memory for those left behind.

"We have had the best experience with Compassionate Funerals QLD. I am very thankful that we chose them & they didn't disappoint.

Truly are very compassionate, kind, caring & loving. And when they say they are Compassionate & are not for profit, they mean it & they show these through their acts of service & in everything they say & do. A phenomenal team with Big loving hearts. Thank you to Emily, Kim, Jessica & Claudia (Order of communication). From the time we started communicating with Emily & Kim over the phone & in person about a year ago when we were told to start putting things in place for our mum who had dementia until the final days leading up to our mum's final moment before she was taken to the Albany Creek Crematorium, you have all been absolutely amazing.

As a family, we were so very grateful that Kim was able to allow us to have a viewing for us to spend those priceless last moments with our mum in their chapel & had the chance to decorate her coffin "A beautiful beautiful send off for our mum before taken to the Crematorium" (as cremation is very new to us) & for us to follow the hearse straight after.

Thank you for being efficient as well. We received our mum's important items earlier than expected & Emily had done an amazing job with all the required documents & our mum's urn (ashes).

I can go on & on but I will end up writing a novel. That is how amazing Compassionate Funerals QLD is & was to us.

It lives on in shared laughter, in familiar songs, in the quiet spaces where memories gently rest.

This Valentine’s Day, we remember those dearly missed and we are reminded to treasure the hands we can still hold and the hearts that still beat beside us.

At Compassionate Funerals Queensland, compassion is more than a word, it’s who we are. And our incredible manager Kim lives it every day.

This March, Kim is stepping way outside her comfort zone and onto the stage for a great cause. She will be singing live at the Unsung Heroes fundraising event for the Carers Foundation, with a goal of raising $20,000 to support unpaid carers.

After more than 25 years caring for families in their time of need, Kim knows just how much carers give of themselves… and now it’s our turn to support her. She normally wouldn’t trade her day job for the spotlight, but for a cause like this she’s ready to take the stage and put on a show like no other!

If Kim can find the courage to sing, we can all help her reach her $20,000 goal before March 28th.
