Hi Craig,

We had Paul employed from Job Connect from 23/2/12 to 27/3/12, Paul was working in the ASW line ( Aluminium Sliding Window ) working on Assembly of Asw frames when Paul had finished these he then would work in our press shop getting the next lot of work ready.

Paul started his day screwing up frames between the hrs of 6am to 9.10am or this could have been finished a 1hr or 2 later depending on what was batched for that day. After 9.30am morning tea or 12.20 pm after lunch Paul would then work in the press shop.

In the Asw press shop we have 11 dies that we need to do the asw windows all of these have a foot pedal that you need to press so it cut the extrusion to make these windows, Paul would have work on a numerous dies and maybe press around 40 to 60 presses before he would have then put vinyl and mohair into these before he started screwing up frames again for the next lot of work.

I have 2 fulltime employees that work in this section 8 hrs a day and sometimes with overtime I have not had a injury in this section using those foot pedals and we have not had a injury in 21 months on this site.

I have no record of Paul seeing Myself or any of the 4 leading hands about having problems with the foot pedal or injury from using the foot pedal, if this was the case we would have moved Paul around to another section.

The reason that Paul was let go from Stegbar because the amount of time he had off in the sort amount of time working for Stegbar, I think in the 6 weeks Paul was working he was only here for two full weeks or the others he had 1-2 days off and this is why we asked Job Connect to cease his employment with us.
