We are auspiced by Koobara Kindy and major sponsor is Brisbane City Council. The Northside NAIDOC committee has been a very strategic and focused group which is focused on delivering a northside NAIDOC event on Brisbane Northside. This committee is about building the profile of Indigenous events on the northside of Brisbane and building networks and increasing awareness among the broader community about what's important to Indigenous Australians by offering events that bring people together. By achieving this a platform can be established to break down barriers, stigmas and stereotypes that exist about Indigenous people. Over many years we have run this event at various locations throughout Brisbane northside community. We have been at Ocaligan park Zillmere, Kidspace Chermside, Nudgee, he Prince Charles Hospital and at Koobara Kindergarten. Our major sponsor has been Brisbane City Council over this long period and we are very grateful to them for their support. We are also very grateful to Koobara Board for allowing us to utilise there grounds to hold this event.
