🎄 The week before Christmas can get a little crazy — shopping, wrapping, cleaning, surviving.
Here are 3 quick fixes to stop your body seizing up before the big day:

1️⃣ The 30-Second Trap Stretch
Perfect if you’ve been wrapping presents hunched over the dining table.
Tilt your head to the side and anchor down the opposite shoulder. When you feel a medium stretch, hold it there. Take slow breaths for 30 seconds.

2️⃣ Towel Thoracic Extension
Roll up a towel, lie over it with the towel placed horizontally under your shoulder blades, hands behind your head, and slowly open your chest by leaning back over it.
Great for switching off that “I’ve been baking all day” posture.

3️⃣ Hydration Check
Queensland heat + rushing around = muscles drying out faster than a gingerbread man in the sun.
Drinking water before you feel thirsty helps keep you from dehydrating.

Holiday stress is coming — before your shoulders end up around your ears, here are some simple breath techniques to help you get through the silly season.
Quick, practical, and backed by physiology — no incense required.

1️⃣ Box Breathing (4–4–4–4)
Inhale 4s → hold 4s → exhale 4s → hold 4s.
Why it helps: lowers heart rate, reduces stress, improves focus.

2️⃣ Long Exhale Breathing
Inhale 4s → exhale 6–8s.
Why it helps: longer exhales activate your parasympathetic system — your built-in “calm down” switch.

3️⃣ Diaphragmatic Belly Breathing
One hand on chest, one on belly. Keep the chest still and let the belly expand.
Why it helps: reduces tension in the neck, upper traps, and accessory breathing muscles.

Bonus (for bedtime stress):
Struggling to switch off at night? Try 4-7-8 breathing — inhale 4s, hold 7s, exhale 8s. Repeat up to 4 rounds to settle the nervous system before sleep.
