✨ Thank you so very much to everyone who has liked, followed, referred or enquired about services with Niche Speech. The support has been wonderful! With that being said, we are now at capacity for Bunbury ans Bridgetown with all further referrals to be waitlisted. There is still capacity for regular appointments in Busselton!

One-off appointments for the following purposes are still able to be accommodated:
- Completing assessment for an NDIS applications
- Completing the CELF 5/CELF P3 assessment to contribute to an autism assessment (this does not provide a diagnosis but can be requested by a psychologist or paediatrician to contribute to their assessments).

This week is Speech Pathology week!! A wonderful week to celebrate all that is speech pathology. This years focus is “communicate your way”. We all communicate in so many ways every day, from our verbal speech, gestures, body language and more. One of my favourite areas to work in is helping those who are non-speaking to be able to express themselves through alternative communication, such as high tech devices or pictures boards. Communication is a fundamental human right and I am so lucky to be able to help people who might have otherwise been denied this ✨

It's Speech Pathology Week! Over the next seven days join us as we celebrate the wonderful speech pathologists who work with the more than 1.2 million Australians with communication and swallowing support needs.

Effective communication is key to building connections and understanding. This Speech Pathology Week, learn more about the vital role speech pathologists play in helping people of all ages. Get involved and spread awareness about the importance of communication.

This year's theme 'Communicate Your Way' explores the many ways that people communicate.

It was a wonderful opportunity to check out all of the great work the students have done, as well as the chance to connect with the students lovely parents and other local support providers. A free online seminar discussing how to support autistic children to thrive in school ✨

CliniKids' new online autism seminar – Beyond survival: Supporting autistic children to thrive in school – will be held on Thursday, September 5, 5-6pm (AWST).

In this seminar, Sarah Pillar (Research Development Manager at CliniKids) will discuss the challenges faced by autistic children in our current education system, supports that can make a big difference, and the spaces for education to be reimagined so autistic children can have an equal opportunity to thrive.

She will be joined by Marisa Di Lorenzo, Senior Speech Pathologist at CliniKids, to share practical examples of successful school-based supports embedded in classrooms, and share some reflections on supporting children throughout their educational journey. Both will be available for questions at the end of the seminar.

Registration for the seminar is necessary to gain access to the webinar link. A recording of the presentation will be able to be viewed for up to a fortnight after the seminar by those who register.
