Woke up at 3am. No idea why. Super itchy ankles.
But hey โ dishwasherโs done, breakfast sorted, and my hairโs even straightened (rare event ๐).
Apparently watching a C-drama in the dark while straightening hair at 4am is my vibe now ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Todayโs a big one. Volunteering again at the community centre, tutoring English.
I loved it last week. The lady I worked with was absolutely gorgeous. So kind, so open to learning โ a total joy.
I keep meeting incredible people and Iโm just so grateful.
Also packed and ready are some very special gifts for a beautiful little Bundaberg boy named Joe, whoโs currently undergoing cancer treatment in Brisbane.
The moment I saw his story, I realised that in my stored box of Scentsy Buddies (leftover stock from when I used to sell Scentsy), there were a few that felt like they were meant just for him.
Two in particular stood out โ Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story โ and a shiny little Nemo Clip Buddy.
Theyโve been boxed up for some time, just waiting for the right hands.
If they bring a smile, something to cuddle through the tough moments, or simply a bit of joy in his day โ thatโs all I care about.
Joeโs gifts are going out today, and I just wish I could be there to see his little face light up. That cheer, that spark โ thatโs everything. Same with his mum and dad.
(Joeโs sister Amy is getting them to him in Brisbane, and Iโm really grateful to her for taking them on my behalf.)
If youโd like to follow his journey or show support, check out the Bundaberg Go Shuttle Service page.
Joe is such a sweet little boy with amazing parents.
Watching his bravery reminds you to be grateful for all the little things we take for granted.
Please give where you can โ and that doesnโt always mean money.
Even sending love or encouragement goes a long way.
Just knowing people arenโt alone, or sharing the story so someone else might help โ it all matters.
Any support is powerful.
Iโve even thought of ways I could shout them coffees or little things at a cafรฉ nearby, just to make life easier in the in-between moments.
Because when illness hits a family, everything else gets shaken with it.
His family is holding strong, and I take my hat off to them.
They are beautiful, brave people โ and this is why I do what I do.
It touches me deeply in my heart. ๐
๐ค
On a random note to self (because clearly everyone needs to know ๐
):
Call into Officeworks before volunteering โ I realised I need a proper red & blue-lined notepad for todayโs session.
Last weekโs writing on basic blue-lined paper just didnโt cut it for learning capitals and lowercase letters. LOL.
Time to donate making everyoneโs life easier ๐ฅฐ
Giving myself a gold star today โญ because Iโm actually early enough to swing by before I go ๐

OMGโฆ my hormones really do my head in.
(Another note to self โ but showing you how to keep it real.)
This face flare-up and the rest that comes with it? The list is too long to fit here.
Some days I honestly wonder why I couldnโt have just been born a boy ๐
My skin is raging crazy to the point where I feel embarrassed to go out.
Iโm slowly getting past it โ because itโs just hormones, and they suck sometimes.
Itโs part of life and reality. Some things we all may face as womenโฆ or may not.
If you can relate โ and youโve ever wanted to hide your face because of it โ donโt.
I get it. We all go through it.
How many times have we all said: โIt is what it is.โ
But also โ I need to remind you
Keep fighting for whatโs important.
Donโt back off.
I will get mine under control โ thereโs just a lot of medical help still needed on many fronts.
So for now โ
Just keep fighting, just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
(Gifting these Scentsy Buddies with the Nemo item has clearly gone to my brain ๐๐ )

But anyhow โ just so you know, Iโm doing my best.
I love smiles in my day. I want to create smiles for others too.
So if we come across each other, donโt be surprised if I try to lift the mood with a laugh or two ๐
And yepโฆ Iโm happy.
I love the direction lifeโs taking me.
Iโm busy, yes โ but Iโm aligned.
Iโm also so grateful for my water.
It keeps me grounded, hydrated โ and itโs hands down one of the best decisions Iโve made for my own health.
Since changing my water, itโs been the most noticeable shift Iโve felt in my body.
I can honestly say I would choose to invest again, over and over. Thatโs how much itโs impacted my life.
After all, most of our body is water โ and it needs water to function properly.
(Clean, hydrogen-rich, oxygenated water.)
This was the in-your-face difference I noticed most (for me).
It made me excited, and itโs why I love what I do in my water business ๐ง
I just wish more people knew whatโs out there when it comes to holistic health and actually putting their wellbeing first.
Processed junk ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ donโt get me stafted โฆThereโs just too much chemical and additives in everything we eat and drink.
People keep grabbing whatโs convenient โ until it catches up.
And when it catches up? Itโs a major.
I can put my hand up and vouch for that โ when it didnโt have to get that bad.
And no โ you donโt need to be a science geek (Iโm definitely not!)
But once you understand the basics, itโs a full-on lightbulb moment ๐ก

Health first, guys.
Not things.
Not hustle.
Not running yourself into the ground.
Because when illness hits โ everything changes fast.
So for realโฆ health first.
Your body is your home. Honour it.
Alright โ enough of the heavy.
Itโs Friday!
Stay safe.
Smile lots.
Donโt hold grudges โ lifeโs too short for that crap.
Be kind to yourself.
Be kind to others.
Weโre all walking through things no one sees.
Sending love and smiles,
Sandee ๐ฉต
