Hey beautiful hearts,

I am excited to be offering 2 medicine drum making workshops at the start of 2026.

Join a supportive circle of women to craft your own personal frame drum in ceremony on the land. Exploring the women’s mysteries through our birth stories as we weave our unique prayers into our drums. All materials are included, support offered throughout the whole process and nourishing food provided.

When: 9-10th January or 20-21st February 2026

Where: 10 mins from Castlemaine, Dja Dja Wurrung country.

Cost: $550 ($50 deposit required upon booking & then payment plans available).

Hello to our beautiful Wilderness Within community ❤️ The time has come for me to unplug from this online space for a while to birth my precious baby & myself as mother….

This is the greatest mystery & deepest honour of my life yet. The path into motherhood. I am present & profoundly grateful!!!

Please still feel welcome to send us messages or emails it will just take us longer to respond. Bookings will remain open for our Takayna Forest Immersion (30th September-5th ocotber 2025) until the end of June. We will not be offering another canoe journey or forest immersion for 1 year until Spring in 2026 so if you have been feeling called to join us on a wilderness experience we encourage you to take this opportunity.

It feels so good to be slowing down, taking a break to honour this time for me becoming mother & for wilderness within to adjust in this new phase…. We are walking our talk & honouring the feminine way within our offerings. Placing mother & baby at the centre & trusting the cycles. Just as we take time to rest when we menstruate we will take time to rest our offerings so that we can come back connected & aligned.

So grateful for the loving support from our little team of incredible guides & wider community of women. I am excited to come back into this space when the time is right as mother….

I feel so honoured to be a part of this great remembering of our feminine connection to the drum. ❤️

It is something I witness within my own offerings of drum making workshops & other women I know holding this space… there are more & more women yearning to craft their own drum.

We hear the drum beat & it awakens something ancient within us.
Our ancestors were drummers.
And we are remembering…

How do we remember? With our drums in hand we practise presence, ground ourselves, start to play her & see where it takes you… maybe you ask your ancestors for guidance.. you might like to drum with others.. or explore the shamanic realms of journeying with your drum..

You can open your voice to song. Your voice holds vibration that is healing for your body, others & the earth. It is a gift.

The drum beat carries healing vibration too… & as studies have shown is actually really good for our physical & mental health!

With such a big movement of remembering the drum I know that it is very much a needed medicine in these times!

And personally the drum has greatly supported me to connect with my unique medicine & share this with the world. When i play my drum I connect with my medicine & send it out on the drum waves. It makes me feel connected & strong.

A stunning moment captured kayaking along the Piemen river on our Takayna Forest Immersion. 🛶 🌲

We love this day of kayaking on our immersions, we spend lots of time wandering through the forest by foot & then to get on the river & look at the forest from a different perspective is really special. There are also a lot of really old Huon pine trees that grow right on the riverbank & we paddle up to meet one that is estimated to be 1500 years old… so special!

We would love a couple more women to join our Takayna Forest Immersion this Spring. The dates are 30th September- 5th October. Please feel welcome to reach out with any questions you might have & please share within your networks we would be so grateful. 🌿❤️🌲

My other November drum making workshop booked out within 1 week so I decided to create another one later in November. I love feeling the strong call of women to the drum & feel so blessed to share its medicine!!!🌕❤️

Ah the many gifts of Autumn. 🍁🍂

The days are cooling down, crisp mornings & first frosts. The sunshine feels extra special this time of year, soaking up as much as we can before the depths of winter.

The beautiful colours of the deciduous trees & the grace which they let their leaves fall to the earth. Creating rich compost. Such a potent reminder of the beauty & necessity of letting go.

The sounds of the leaves crunching underfoot, pulling out our favourite soup & stew recipes, woollen jumpers & scarves. Slowing down, going inward…

Gratitude for this wonderful season! 🍁🍂

So incredibly grateful for this woman. My beautiful Mother Deslei (also known as Ma or Mama Dez). ❤️

She has offered so much loving support & encouragement into the growth of Wilderness Within over the past few years.

From baking all of the delicious treats for our journeys & immersions, to coming on a forest immersion & climbing Mount Donaldson, to listening to all of my ideas, comforting me when things get challenging & celebrating all of the wins!!!

I am so grateful for this support & she is definitely a part of wilderness within that deserves some celebrating & gratitude!

And then personally as I journey deeper into becoming a mother, waiting to meet my baby earth side. I reflect on the amazing mother that she has been & feel so blessed to have had such a strong anchor in my life & a wonderful role model of a loving, generous, caring, fun & sweet mother.

You are going to make an amazing Grandmother Ma & we are so so blessed to have you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Dearest women, you are invited to join my next Medicine Drum Making Workshop held over 7-8th November on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, 10 mins outside of Castlemaine, Victoria. 🌕❤️

We will gather in women’s circle, share in ceremony, connect with the medicine of the land we craft with, the kangaroo hide & willow wood of the frame & our own personal unique medicine as we craft our drums.

All materials, support for the entire workshop, a nourishing dinner on the Friday & lunch on the Saturday provided. You will take home your beautiful medicine drum at the end of our workshop, a sacred tool that will be with you for life!

In awe of this sisterhood we have created together. ❤️

Hearts are so full from our Wilderness Women Campout. A special celebration of this sisterhood, for any woman who has come on a journey with us to gather for the weekend. And the village felt so alive with all of the beautiful young daughters & children present with us!

We camped on the land, ate yummy food, told stories around the campfire, sat in circle, sang songs, danced under moonlight, went for bush walks & crafted these glorious eco printed soul skin scarves in the autumn sunshine.

We are going to make this Campout an annual event. Can’t wait for the next one & the biggest thank you to everyone who came & contributed to the beauty of the weekend. When women gather magic surely does happen!!! ✨❤️
